Well I had to get my IR fix this morning, it was bright and sunny so they appear 'contrasty' but as always comments welcome. Taken with my hand held UZI with minimal Photoshop work.

I'll post a few more images that are converted to Infrared in OnOne Software Effects.
You have very well composed images and the only serious highlight issues I see are in the Hybrid Tea Rose photo. Pseudo IR is interesting and can be done with available resources but when you put those images beside true IR capture, the difference shows up. Also with true IR you don't get wildly different renderings from the same image. True IR is more consistent.
You have mastered the most important aspect of IR photography, if it isn't a good image, it won't be good in IR either. Your images are very strong and stand on their own, regardless of format.

I am really new to this and did not know much about IR until someone posted some shots yesterday. I was playing aroung in Paintshop Prox4, and saw in the nik program the IR program. I tried a few which I have included. The first two are simply done in the IR, and the third went first to IR then to polaroid seperation. I am pleased the way they came out. Any feed back would be nice.
Gregory,
The first two images look way over-sharpened and the last one too blurry. If you are happy with the way they look, that is the most important thing.

Here is one taken last July. I love infrared images that I see but I am never happy with my own. Someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I have sold this print in a series of infrared but still not happy.
Why are you not happy? Those are excellent photos. The selective blue and sepia tones take the images out of pure B&W and maybe that is what you don't like. Try processing them as just B&W images and see what you think.

Wendy,
Great stuff, I may have to send the 'IR ninjas' to your house to prevent your work from overshadowing mine ;-).
Keep up the good work and post more soon.

Kodie,
An interesting image, I particularly like the bright water spot in the center, but the sky seems just a bit too bright. I can't tell where the sun is coming from and the foliage lacks the signature IR brightness.
Still and all a nice image, can you eat the fish caught there? Around here there are only a few places where fisher-folk say the fish are clean enough to eat.

Life may not be the party we hoped for - but while we are here - we might as well dance!
Thanks for your kind comments! That is a by-line that goes on all of my emails, I did not realize it popped up here also, but yes! Dancing is good, ask my dog, the one in the picture, that's what we do together, sorry if off topic.
