Funny you say that about Chic Filet, the mayor of Boston won't let them open in the city because it would impact the city in the wallet. I guess you can't fix stupid and Menino fits the part.

This racist, bigoted post is in clear violation of the letter and spirit of this forum. There is no place here or anywhere else for hate speech. This hater should leave his ignorant Jew hating commentary to himself. He should be promptly removed from this forum permanently. I would suggest that he seek therapy, but I strongly doubt that he has sufficient mental capacity to benefit from counseling.

Unfortunatley this isn't the first time I've heard this idiotic rant about B&H being closed on the Jewish Sabbath. BTW Adorama will be closed also as will many others. Usually they are open on Sundays except I know Adorama will be closed this Sunday due to Purim.

I just tried to order something from B&H. Their site told me they don't accept online orders till 7PM on Saturday. I understand the reason: they are Jewish and observing their Sabboth. While I agree that in the U.S. they are welcome to do so I am also welcome to not have them impose their religious beliefs on me. So I'll never try to order from them again.

This is just for information. I fully expect everyone in the U.S. to be free to make their own decisions on this type of thing.

I won't have my wife wear a burrkah either.

I'm thinking he regrets his post. Yesterday I posted some Tech Terms in Chit-Chat. This is one of them.

Ohnosecond: That fraction of a second it takes to realize that you’ve goofed, for example sending an email to the wrong person, or forgetting to send the attachment.

The constitution grants us the freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. They are practicing that freedom, and admire them for being true to there custom and doctrine.

I deal with B & H all the time so what if they close on Saturday lots of places close on Sunday or Monday and I don't see it as imposing anything on anybody.and as for the guy who never heard of B&H man you go to go there you will feel like a kid in a candy store.

Welcome to our forum, and don't be scared away. This is not typical of our discussions.

Yes it is. Adults reside here and we all have different opinions.

However, most of the folks on here are not as ignorant as the poster.

I am not particularly religious. Most of our local stores are closed on Sundays - this gives their employees a day to worship if they choose or simply a day with their families. I continue to patronize them six days a week because they have what I need, and I am generally not in a desperate rush to acquire those items. If you are desperate to buy camera equipment on Saturdays, I guess you need to check Amazon.com, EBay, etc. I would be happier if B&H allowed shopping on Saturdays, but I will not begrudge them their day off to support their religious beliefs. And they have a good site, LOTS of things in stock, and good prices - ALL of which I respect and appreciate also! I will continue to be their customer.

Just read this post and had to read it twice to make sure I didn't miss something....That is about the most narrow-minded way of thinking I have seen in a long time. I'll bet they survive without your business. I guess the fact that most businesses close on Sunday is imposing Christianity on others.

This post takes the cake for idiotic, hate mongering lunacy. And to top it off, B&H are not imposing anything on anyone. But YOU, now an admitted racist, want them to be open to SERVE YOU at your beck and call. You mention that "in the United States THEY . . ." as though you are being especially kind to allow these RESIDENTS of your country you openly scorn as Jews, to operate a business in YOUR country. Kinda smells of mid-twentieth century Germany pal. There is one great aspect most Americans do possess. Few of them think like you!

I remember when virtually all stores were closed on Sunday. Then they changed the law to allow them to open. There was concern that people would be forced to work on their day of worship. The idea at the time was that people would have the option of not working on Sunday; they would not be required to work on that day. I guess things have changed again. Try telling your boss that you won't work on Sunday.

Another thought: how many are just careful enough to keep their ugly thoughts to themselves? The old radio show "The Shadow" began with the line, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?"
