Spectacular scenes that are composed so very well, as usual Joe! I know I'm very late on viewing these last few posts in this mini-series but better late than never, right?!
I especially enjoyed #'s 4 and 8. I am curious about avalanche dangers to the villages like you showed us in 10...? I see lots of trees on the main hillside next to town but the slopes in the back of the image made me wonder if that's an issue in the Alps for the villages tucked into a alpine meadow/plateau...

Thanks Rob for looking in on the waning posts of my last series - first day or much later, your comments are always very welcome! As far as I know, there is no particular avalanche danger in that specific area, but where there is a combination of steep slopes and snow, I guess that danger always exists. In many avalanche-prone locations the Swiss have installed avalanche barriers to lessen the danger. Glad to hear that you enjoyed these images.

Greetings from Puerto Varas at the shore of Lake Llanquihue in the center of Chile!
