Good morning from a cloudy but mild (13C) Norfolk. Still got some chicken over so will do chicken, pineapple and rice today. Nothing else planned so will carry on with another scarf. My washing machine was making horrendous clunking and banging noises last time I used it so DH went out and bought a new one yesterday. Bet not many people get one of those for Valentine's day, better than last year I suppose when I had a gastroscopy for Valentine's, yes it's been a year and still haven't seen a consultant face to face and the doctors are going on strike again from the 24th for five days this month so don't know if that will put my April appointment back. I live in hope. Have a good day if you can. xx

My husband would have stripped the machine down, not found a fault and said 'just get on with it; it's not doing any harm to the clothing' I would then have gone out and bought a new one.

Happy 💘 💝 💌 Valentine’s Day to all my sisters 👯‍♀️ feb 14h….does seem like Christmas 🎄 was being celebrated

Today I’ve been to Wendy’s. This morning I’m fast asleep when I got a txt from lynn to say she is picking me up on Friday to go to a different lunch. 🥗 well, I panicked.🫨 I’d never b ready and woken up by 11.45. I rushed into the bathroom then tried to get my clothes on an I couldn’t fasten my bra and had to start all over again. Then I tried to put trouser on and I was falling over. At last I got downstairs, when I realised….today is Wednesday and I’m due at Wendy’s. I’ve got two days til Friday. Oh dear me , might b I’m I told the doctor? 👩‍⚕️ maybe not! It’s only the third time 🕰️ I’ve done that. I’ve go up at 10am and though I was dark so sat and had my 🍇 fruit 🍈 juice 🥤 I’ve already had a txt saying I need to book my ANNUAL health test of long term conditions. ANNUAL ? I’ve never had a health test in the 50 + years I’ve lived here. I’ve managed ok…..🆗 I might have to find some time 🕰️ if silly things happen again. I think I must be ok because I’d realised what I’d done. ✔️ does that make sense.

Been to Wendy’s and had my teeny few chips 🍟 and enjoyed them. She’s looking good. Had the blood 🩸 nurse this morning. She gets well looked after, which is great. We watched the news 🗞️ then got into a jolly discussion, but I close my ears a bit when Wendy starts to go “woe is me”…….i know she has big problems, but, that’s the way we are so let’s get on with it.

Lisa, I’m with you in my heart ❤️ love 🧡 and think about you now and again. You’re always in my mind…even at times I seem to lose it haha. My minds a subject that only I can understand.

Stay safe ,wam and healthy, be nice to each other Hugs 🥰 to all you that ned one. Going to have my 🧊 ice lolly now and catch up. Xxxx

Love yawl xx

Susan, I do things like that all the time; panic about time then realise I don't need to as I have the wrong day in my head.

Merlin panicked this morning as there was going to be at least 8 of us, and he thought it would be busy with half-term. It's been raining all day so there was no problem at all.

Such a dreary day, it's almost depressing. Never mind; I'm in the warm and dry with everything I need.

Stay well or get well, and be happy - all of you, my friends.

I believe it is perfectly normal when startled awake to be a bit befuddled. I think it depends what stage of sleep you are in and if you are dreaming or not. I can remember it happening a time or two years ago. Although I would figure it out quickly because it was a phone call not a text.

I think I remember some people have to make appointments to get an x-ray?

We used to be able to buy them at the hardware store but I haven't seen them for a few years. Some idiot probably tried to eat one so they are no longer on the shelves.
Apparently they are still available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=damp+rid&ref=nb_sb_noss

Thanks for the info. Good item to have on hand.

I used to grab a shovel and throw the dog doo back on the yard of the dog where it came from. My neighbours are much better now about letting their dog roam on my yard. We only have lilac bushes between our yards so the dogs can go through the bushes.

Good that it has helped.

Yes but today I had patience tested. The dealer still hasn’t got my car seen. Son and I asked a friend to take us there and we asked what is going on because son is 6 feet fall there were 2 mechanics showed up and stayed behind the counter with the lady in charge. I don’t blame them because there are peole who do nutty things but not us. She says they will get to my car tomorrow. Had it since Monday not looked at. I don’t believe them. Son thinks they just parked it til the appointment we had for tomorrow scheduled last week. My other friend looked up the reviews people made on them 3 out of 5 stars. And a few had the same treatment I’m getting. They say they found acorns and if squirrels did the damage it’s not covered by warranty. I question it because I don’t see acorns in my driveway even in the fall.

I started again and am mid row now. It takes about half an hour to an hour to do one row so I'm not making much progress now. It's a "dip 3" stitch.

Glad you are sticking to it.
I found a baby sweater I’d done about 4 inches or more and no idea what the pattern is. Hate to waste the work I did so might try to find another similar pattern.
