Beautiful set, Joe! Would love to have been there with you. Used to do a lot of snowshoeing when I was younger.
Thank you John - that would have been fun! But actually, I am not (yet) a real snowshoer - thus far that was my first and only time. But I used to do plenty of downhill skiing and, for a while when living in the Toronto area, quite a bit of cross-country skiing. But, those days are gone, while snowshoeing is still a gently winter sport possibility.
I love these. But I did have to turn up the thermostat!

Quite pretty winter scenes!

Yes, the joys of winter come with their own sets of conditions - glad to hear that you enjoyed these captures, Kathy!

I had to look up and see if that was the area we visited in May, 2014, and it was. The snow was much deeper up in the ski area! We are lucky to get 4-6 inches every few years at our home...
Fine images Joe but a little chilly for this southern boy!

Interesting to hear that you made it up here 10 years ago - I was living here at that time, but actually spent the month of May down in Argentina (had to look that up too!)
Unfortunately, the snow situation is no longer what it was just a decade ago: During the winter of 1998-99 Mt. Baker received 1,140 inches of snowfall – verified by NOAA as the World Record of snowfall during a single winter season! - right now, in the middle of winter, Mount Baker has about 51" of snowbase at the Heather Meadows, temperature is at 54F and only a handful of chairlifts are operating.

Thanks Don - even if we have snow, it is not really cold enough any longer (see my response above to DougS). But anyway, with proper clothing, temperatures should not be a problem, as long as there is only light or no wind. I guess I can take the cold easier than you, while in turn you probably can take the heat better than I!

Wonderful walk in the snow there, Joe! It looks as it did some 8 years ago when last we went snowshoeing in the same area.
Enjoyed the set as it brought back memories, thanks!

Thanks Rob - yes, it is a very nice area to try for a novice, it wouldn't have changed over the 8 years, except the trees might be a few feet taller, but probably we had more snow then as compared to now! Glad I could bring you back some good memories!
