Thanks very much! I'm doing OK, just doing it a bit slower.

#1 is a Cholla (choya) Cactus. One of the nastiest cactuses in the desert!
#4 foreground is a Prickly Pear. Nasty enough, but candy and jelly can be made from the flower pods. Really good!
I hope you like!

I do! Nice, Chief!

Nice images, Chief. Cut off a young Prickly Pear pad, burn off the pricklies, and you have Nopales. Supposed to be good fried with eggs.

Actually nopal is quite yummy. It's sort of like green beans, and I love them.

Yeah, so I've heard. Even saw some for sale but haven't tried it! Next time the opportunity comes along I'll give it a try!

Saguaros, my favorite cactus. I was introduced to teddy bear cholla at the botanic gardens in Phoenix; those cholla are anything but cuddly! YIKES! Then there is Bumble Bee, AZ where the progression of saguaros stops; north of Bumble Bee hardly a saguaro to be found. Ah but by the time ya get to Bumble Bee the chollas are really thinning out. PHEW!!! Nasty buggers!!!
