Neat. My mom collected saguaros. We got a shole shelf of them at home.

Interesting! Where did she get them? I didn't think they could be found in Chicago! They are beautiful!

They're statues, candles and pictures/paintings with the cacti in them...my mom even painted a picture of one many moons ago. We also got a saguaro-shaped floor lamp and one of our light switch plates has one on it. I have no idea where she got them, but she'd been all over the world in her days as a travel agent. Most of them probably came during our family road trips when I was a kid, though. Just a guess.

Glad that you are back, I missed you. Hope that you are recovering.
Even with no birds, it is a good capture. Keep up the good work.

Well, thank you! Yeah, a little slower than normal but almost there! Us old cusses take a little longer to get back up on the horse!
Yep, I've almost resigned myself to the fact that not all posts will have birds! Or gators!!

Well, I have the birds here, at least for a while. Soon they will go back home to mate. So as long as they are here, I will enjoy them.

There is some good things to see down there. When you are back on the horse, you will have fun.

Yes there are! And starting to get out to see them finally. Now just have to wait out the weather. There is a weather advisory out for metro Tucson for the possibility of up to three inches of SNOW!! Not really a problem for us, but we don't want to share the roads with folks who haven't even SEEN that much snow!
