Wow, that is quite the landscape!! Very, very nice captures!

Thank you Dennis for your words of appreciation - that landscape was wonderful, particularly up on the Nufenen Pass, and the villages in the Ticino were very quaint.

Love the shot of the little village.

Thanks rde, these little villages with their old stone structures down in the Ticino are very dear to my heart!

Thank you John - I didn't think so at that time - I "knew" what I was doing ..... - now in hindsight: a bit crazy: luckily these descents were on good, well maintained asphalt roads, but just a pebble or two on the road, with these thin semi-racing type tires on the bikes, probably was after all not such a swell idea (I think my fastest speed was around 70kmh - at that time my most important extra on the bike was the tachometer....)

It should have been a first aid kit and a stretcher (LOL)!

This is another fine set Joe showcasing the mountainous scenery. I like #2 from the view at the top of the Nufenen Pass looking towards the Bernese Alps, and #4, the view at Nufenen Lake. The village views of Ticino nestled in the mountains are really nice too.

Yes, we were both very happy with these extraordinary views up on the Nufenen Pass, both for the #2 rather long view and the #s 3 & 4 of much closer-by mountains. The village views in the Ticino are always enthralling, whether seen as a cluster from afar, or closeby when walking through one of the villages. It gives you an ancient feeling, like traveling back in time!

Thank you very much Tom for your kind appreciation - the mountains on this drive were quite spectacular and I have seen these only a couple of times and quite long ago - and the houses and landscapes down in the Ticino are our perennial favorites.

Spectacular scenes that are composed so very well, as usual Joe! I know I'm very late on viewing these last few posts in this mini-series but better late than never, right?!
I especially enjoyed #'s 4 and 8. I am curious about avalanche dangers to the villages like you showed us in 10...? I see lots of trees on the main hillside next to town but the slopes in the back of the image made me wonder if that's an issue in the Alps for the villages tucked into a alpine meadow/plateau...
