I recently ordered several different 8-1/2 X11 printing papers that I found on Amazon Prime under a listing for Print Paper including glossy, card stock with various surfaces. Prices vary but I found reasonably priced. I particularly was wanting printing paper that could be written on on one side for making photo notecards with my Canon TR8620a printer.
It is a little early for me to recommend a particular paper, but put I'd suggest taking a look at what is available and pricing.
Thanks, I'm sure that for the next few months I'll experimenting with different papers to find what I like for different needs. I'll stay with premium paper for my wall hangers but if I decide to print cards and the like I'll use a lesser expensive grade.

I gave an Epson ET 8550 printer that I had trouble with and first thing Epson said to me was I using Epson paper?
I said sometimes but you paper is 2x as expensive as other paper. I added nowhere in your spec did you say you must use Epson oaper.
I just set up my 5th Epson 8550 in under a year. They don't send new machine but they send a refurbished one which they have a right under there warranty.
I set it up and the test print with the 6 colors, had 5 good color patterns and the last one, black, had only a few test lines. Rest of black box was blank. As machine suggested did a power cleaning. Next test was still defective but slightly improved. Machine suggested another power cleaning. I did that and the 3rd test page had black very very defective.
Epson support was closed so now I'm waiting for them.
As a note the 5 colors that printed ok on the test print were now at 3/4 level but black was still almost fill. Appears to be a block somewhere
When machine works prints are excellent as long as you print with a small white border.
This is absurd that an $800 printer has this many issues

I've had mine since Sept of 2022 and have never had a problem with it. I ran the head cleaning twice in that time and have seen only great reviews for it. It uses dye-based inks and so is not considered a professional printer, but I have had extraordinary results with it. I'm sorry you have such bad luck, and I can't imagine why you were singled out, but I assure you they are not all as bad as what you have experienced.
I'll call them again tomorrow. I'm glad to hear it's a good machine. I print 11 x 14 and they come out excellent which makes those even more frustrating. Ion this one I can't get past the initial test paper never mind print alignment

You ordered the Red River B&H or directly from Red River?

Great. Do you print something weekly for maintenance? I ask because I've been told by a couple of people to print something weekly to keep things flowing properly.

I do, just in case. I had an expensive Canon printer clog beyond my ability to fix it and I'm not going to ship something that big and heavy off to be repaired. I now use an Epson ET 8550 and if I don't have anything to print I just use this test print. It uses all the inks and I have never had a serious problem. I have gone more than a week and still had no trouble but I just want to be safe and this ink is so economical that I feel it's worth it. This is a scan of one of the test prints made with the ET 8550.

No. Sometimes I've gone a month or more without printing, yet have never had a problem with things flowing properly. Red River provides profiles for it's paper for optimum quality prints.

Okay, well the ink for the Canon Pro 100 is not cheap but I guess I will print something weekly just to keep the ink flowing, thanks.

Yes, it's not cheap... Maybe I have just been lucky so far.
