For those of you who put up a Christmas tree, when do you take it down? I'd like to get my living room back. I know that some people keep it up till January 6, Little Christmas.
You put a tree in your living room? If not Ficus, why?
Usually right after New Years. This year it will be the 8th. We had Christmas part one the week before Christmas with our oldest daughter (someone paid her 1000.00 to cat sit for a week ). We had our normal Christmas with my 92 y/o father and tonight starts part 3 when our youngest daughter gets here.
I have a small artificial tree - it stays up all year round. We change the decorations to match the next upcoming holiday.
Epiphany (Jan 6) is the official Roman Catholic end of the Christmas season so that’s it for us.

As late as ours went up this last season (finished ornaments on Christmas Eve) it is by-golly going to stay up for a while!
Easter? Mardi Gras?

Correct?
The “correct” time is when the mood strikes . . . .
LOL, we don't put it up until the middle of December, then leave it up until mid-January or when the tree gets too dried-out (not artificial).
My wife was raised Russian Orthodox, and that Christmas is Jan 7, so we wait as long as we can after that!
Find a local goat farm. They love to eat ‘em.
We've always waited for January 6.
Many in Denver leave Christmas decorations and trees up through the National
Western Stock Show, which ends this year on Jan. 21.

The "correct" time to take down the Christmas tree is whenever I decided to take it down.
our tree, inside and outside decorations are down except for the bulbs on the trees that require a ladder to remove.
Great poetry. Thanks for starting my day with a chuckle.

“Correct”? Is that a “rule” or covered in a manual somewhere…like “The Erection, Decoration, and Dismantling of Christmas Trees”?
