Thank you I did reboot it twice to no change? Same thing using other lens and memory cards.
I appreciate your suggestion.
Thanks ,

Relatively new Fujifilm X100V that showed the error ! Focus Error. The ! was in red.

Tried to remove it by going thru all the menu's with no luck. Unable to continue shooting or anything
else until the error is removed and not return.

Does anyone have any suggestion, or must I bring it in for service somewhere?

Thank you,
Bart

Did you try removing and reinstalling the battery?

Hi drbart....just curious....do you have a filter on the (X100V) camera that may interfere with the focusing movement of the lens? If so, an adapter is needed. This is an interesting is so please let us know what your final resolution is. Good luck and I hope you will enjoy that camera as much as I do.

Hi I do have the recommended filter and lens hood. It worked fine for a while, until it didn’t for no apparent reason. I also reset the shooting menu and the set-up reset.
Changed batteries and memory cards.

I will contact Fujifilm and hope they have an easy fix. I will let you know!

Best regards,
Bart

Fujifilm has a free tech support telephone number and is very helpful, I had a problem with my EVF in the field and they helped me resolve it in less time than it took to call them. I keep the number in my cell phone contacts.

I’ve had same alert. Found two possibilities.
1-your focus limiter is set to be outside the area focusing.
2- The lens cannot move cannot move to focus, because of missing waterproof ring or a misaligned filter.
-I also put the conversion lens on the wrong way and that goes the problem. L O L.

Thank You))
That was it! I have a UV filter and lens hood. I saw the lens move into the filter and caused the error.
Removed filter and problem gone. The lens hood protects the lens anyway. It was a Fulifilm filter they recommend for the X100V. Go figure?

Simple fix and thank you again.

Best regards
Bart

I hope all that wrote to me gets to see your advice!

Repeat:....you need a filter adapter ring to use a filter on the X100V to prevent that error from happening. Good Luck.
