So, I have spent the past 9 mo. researching interesting photo ops (some with suggestions for lens FL, time of day, etc.), and strategic lodging for a trip up the Maine coast from the Manchester, NH, airport to Acadia NP during peak fall color. The focus is on lighthouses, coastal fishing villages, fishing shacks, and coastal landscapes. We are seniors, so the plans do not include extensive hiking. Lodging has to be quality bedding and cleanliness...found some good ones. My notebook is organized by each day with a Google map showing destination highlights and mileage for that day.
My travel buddy of the past 10 years has just suffered pulmonary embolisms and will be healing over the next 3-6 mo. and will no longer be flying. If anyone is considering such a trip and would be interested in my notebook pages, I would be happy to mail them out. Might save some time in streamlining an itinerary.

If you have an iPhone, you can open 'Notes' and Scan (I choose to scan instead of taking a .jpg) each page of your log. These can be sent as well. Not sure what an Android phone provides.

Like so many others here, I too would be grateful to receive a copy of the internet links you used as references. My wife and I have enjoyed visiting and vacationing in Maine. This is a road trip we would love.

Best to you,

I would love to see your itinerary if you would be so kind. I have traveled to Maine a few times, but never set out with a detailed plan. Thank you very much ... TVrover@mac.com

If your definitely going, I would start by making your hotel reservation NOW! Leaf peeping season in Maine and NH gets very crowded. Most of the major hotel chains have a rate that includes money back cancellations. You might also find 3 day minimum stays on weekends.
Route 1 along the coast is mostly a 2 lane highway at 40 to 55 mph and then you have to drive south on the penisulas to get to the water, on 30 to 40 local roads.

Can you copy your notebook prior to shipping it out and the email the pages to those interested. This trip is on my wife’s bucket list and I sure would love to have your notes. Handwritten copies are great because you can see things you considered

I would also be interested in the link to your itinerary. We live just outside of Boston and have made several trips north through NH and into Maine. My wife has expressed an interest in traveling to NS sometime in the near future. Thank you for your thoughtful offer and best wishes for future travels.
