So, I have spent the past 9 mo. researching interesting photo ops (some with suggestions for lens FL, time of day, etc.), and strategic lodging for a trip up the Maine coast from the Manchester, NH, airport to Acadia NP during peak fall color. The focus is on lighthouses, coastal fishing villages, fishing shacks, and coastal landscapes. We are seniors, so the plans do not include extensive hiking. Lodging has to be quality bedding and cleanliness...found some good ones. My notebook is organized by each day with a Google map showing destination highlights and mileage for that day.
My travel buddy of the past 10 years has just suffered pulmonary embolisms and will be healing over the next 3-6 mo. and will no longer be flying. If anyone is considering such a trip and would be interested in my notebook pages, I would be happy to mail them out. Might save some time in streamlining an itinerary.

With all this interest, wouldn't it be easier if you just post the links here?

I am working on a document now to post on UHH and will email those who provided their addresses. To tell you the truth, I thought someone might come along in a few days with an interest in Maine coast travel--had no idea so many folks had it on their bucket lists!

If you have an iPhone, you can open 'Notes' and Scan (I choose to scan instead of taking a .jpg) each page of your log. These can be sent as well. Not sure what an Android phone provides.

I'm working on a document to share that will have the itinerary, screenshots, and links. That's more than I want to tackle with my Android, lol.

I hope to have a document ready to share in a few days--keep an eye out for it. My photo buddy is back home and making progress--grateful for all the prayers that went out for him. I will have to find points of interest in his neck of the woods now.

If your definitely going, I would start by making your hotel reservation NOW! Leaf peeping season in Maine and NH gets very crowded. Most of the major hotel chains have a rate that includes money back cancellations. You might also find 3 day minimum stays on weekends.
Route 1 along the coast is mostly a 2 lane highway at 40 to 55 mph and then you have to drive south on the penisulas to get to the water, on 30 to 40 local roads.

Good info to share for those trying to travel this fall.

I would also be interested in the link to your itinerary. We live just outside of Boston and have made several trips north through NH and into Maine. My wife has expressed an interest in traveling to NS sometime in the near future. Thank you for your thoughtful offer and best wishes for future travels.

I will be sharing the itinerary and links soon under a similar title so it will be recognizable.
