I go out with two bodies all the time. History has taught me to have a spare handy always, LOL

I have used and owned about every brand and format of camera in the past 60 years since age 12. From minox size to a 11x14 Inch Deardorf view camera, from compact, 35mm rangefinder, 35mm SLRs, TLRs, medium format, DSLRs, Mirrorless, with brands including Kodak, Polaroid, Miranda, Nikon, Leica, Fuji, Panasonic, Pentax, Olympus, Mamiya, Yashica, Bronica, Hasselblad, Canon, Sony.

Currently I still have a working Canon F1 35mm SLR with a few lenses that I use when I teach my University course in 35mm B&W Film photography. That Canon F1 camera was my stalwart when I covered the War in Nicaragua many moons ago. I used pro Nikon and Canon gear for over 40 years (both brands) then moved over to Sony mirrorless in 2017.

I have owned Sony A6500, A7RII, A7RIIi, A7III, A9, and currently my Sony mirrorless lineup includes Sony A1, A7RIV, A7SIII. Currently I have 13 E-mount lenses covering from 10mm to 600mm from Sony, Sigma, Tamron. I kept one Canon DSLR lens out of my dozens of DSLR lenses, the Canon TS 17mm f4 Tilt-Shift lens which I use on my Sony bodies with the Sigma MC-11 lens adapter.

Seriously thinking of adding the new Viltrox 16mm f1.8 lens in E-mount, looks like an amazing lens, for the GM-like optical quality, exclusive features and at an affordable price of $549 USD.

Cheers and best to you all.

For the record, “120mm film” does not exist. It’s just “120 roll film” It’s about 62mm wide…

At one time, in the last two years, I owned every Nikon "F", FM, FE, FE2, etc., but I wasn't able to do them justice. I also owned an Olympus OM-2n, Pentaxes, Minoltas, Canons, etc. However, in order to lighten my usable load, I decided to opt out of film; that included medium format Hassy, multiple Mamiyas, Yashica TLR's; also 4x5 cameras, approx. 10 of those.

Even the one's I could use, I never felt that I could exploit their features. I believe that I truly had too much gear.

Now, I'm down to a D810, D850, and two Z-7's. I'm getting more shooting in without stew over gear.

I used both 620 roll film cameras and 120 roll film cameras.

Here are the similarities and the differences between the two roll films:

For the last 3 years for the first time in my life I have only one camera. (That's not counting drones, I also shoot with a Phantom 4 pro and a Mavic 3 pro) I have always had multiple cameras but within a couple of months after buying my Nikon D850 I realized I would never shoot with any of my old equipment and got rid of all of it including late model d8x's.

I've been reading about how wonderful the Z8 is, perhaps it will lure me in, perhaps. I have been really amazed by the D850. Once on a trip to Arches National Park with my D810, a truly great camera, I saw a German photographer and asked about what he was using and he showed me his D850 which was pretty new back then. I couldn't imagine getting better shots with the D850 than the D810 so I kind of rolled my eyes, he told me that after I got a D850 I would throw rocks at my 810. Well, I never threw rocks at it but I certainly never used it again so I got rid of it and my 800.

I've been shooting for over 60 years, nothing has ever impressed me like the D850. I had a Beseler enlarger once that I was in love with but not like the D850. It's all about dynamic range and nothing does it like the 850.

I carry an S22 Ultra and admit it's impressive for a phone but not on par with my cameras.

I have several old cameras that take 620, 616, 120/220, 127, 135, APS, and 126 film types. I also have two old Polaroids. One took roll film and one took pack film.

The only ones that would still be worth using are the Nikon FTn, the Nikon F3, the Canon A1, and the Bronica ETRSi. Films are readily available for these, but hard to source for the others. I don't care to use any of them. They're all in a glass case as conversation pieces. My first camera ever was a cheap Argus 620 roll film TLR. I still have one with a flashgun.

Have 4 working, NIKON D6, Z8 and (2) Z9s. I kept the D6 for its very low light abilities and lens I have collected thru the years. I have tested the D6 against the Z9 in very low light and the D6 has less noise than the Z9. You may ask why 2 Z9s and a Z8 it's because I shoot a sports, stills and video at the same time. Years ago I machined up an attachment that would hold the camera and video camera side by side on my tripod now the 2 Z9 sit side by side. I use a Nikon WR-T10 Remote Controller to fire stills while I am videoing the action. Also I mounted a reflex gun sight on the camera I am takin video. With a reflex sight you can aim with both eyes open, making it easy to see the entire field of view. The Z8 is my walk around camera. You may ask why dont I just take one of the Z9s the problem is it takes about 10 minutes to align the cameras and sight up. Wish I was home I would take a picture of the setup. Currently in Yosemite taking pictures of my grandkids and everything else. If people are still posting to JUST ONE CAMERA I will try to remember to take a picture of my setup.
