I couldn't read the plate either. Maine, at one time, had many many working factories that manufactured shoes. My guess is that this could be from one of those factories. Got creaky joints? Had a joint replacement? Bionic machines inside me! One part of the body machine doesn't work right, it effects many other parts. SO guess I am a biological macromolecule that would prefer to be smaller than "macro"
