Many stores have a return time period that seems sshort. However, the warranty usually has a much longer period iin which you can get a full refund from the company. In the worst-case scenario, you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, if you live in the US. --Richard

BBB is a joke.

This sounds like an admission, indirectly that you are wrong, and you don't want to admit it here.

Sorry, but no, not any admission. I freely admit when I am wrong. I just wanted to let people know and to be aware

I’m so sorry I ever posted my original comment. I certainly didn’t want to start a big discussion, just wanted to give a heads-up. I won’t comment any more

I am inclined to believe that many people misunderstand a great many conversations. I too have made many statement only to have others tell me I am wrong or that they didn’t understand what I have said.

Thank you!!

I’ve only had one issue with my number of MPB orders. I didn’t get satisfaction from the lady that answered the phone, but the manager I spoke with remedied the problem immediately. If the OP want’s to resolve the issue, I’d request to speak with the manager and present your evidence.

I have made several purchases from MPB and have sold them an item. I would have said that they were great to deal with until today. I purchased a Nikon P1000 from them but after receiving it, I decided it was way too big for my liking. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and I emailed them to ask for how to return for a refund. They told me that it has been more than 14 days since I received it…..it has not been! ….so they won’t refund it but I could sell it back to them

Ah no!!! So now I’m stuck with this camera and I will certainly never deal with MPB again.

Just beware

Did you ask them how much they would give you if you sold it back to them?

I’ve purchased a few items from MPB and sold even more. I’ve never had anything even close to what you’re experiencing. One instance comes to mind last year when they admitted to being swamped with orders and were experiencing difficulties getting orders out as fast as advertised. I actually called their customer service expressing concern about returning the item if not happy. The CS rep told me not to worry and referred me to their web return policy which I’ve pasted here:

i. If you wish to cancel an order, you must do so within fourteen (14) days of receiving your item by emailing us at contactus@mpb.com stating your name and order number or phoning us at +1 646-513-4309 stating your name and order number. If you are not able to speak to a representative over the phone, you must email us at contactus@mpb.com within this fourteen (14) day return period and clearly confirm your request to cancel your order and return the item(s).

You should have proof of delivery, which should solve the issue. As mentioned above, phone calls usually euro better.
Of course if you were just looking to vent your frustration, you came to the right place.

"Proof of delivery" can sometimes be deceiving. About a year ago I bought a used lens on ebay. I never received it and when I reported it to PayPal they promptly redirected me back to Ebay who denied my request for any refunds and claimed the seller had "proof of delivery". When I asked to see this "proof" their reply was they had contacted the delivery service and were told "it was put into a mailbox in the town I live in". Apparently that was proof enough for them. After all who cares there are hundreds of mailboxes in the town I live in and they had no address or signatures? So I went back to PayPal and they offered the exact same response and said the case was now closed. They offered the same "proof" as Ebay

I no longer use PayPal or Ebay for anything. At least the OP has the camera and maybe has learned a lesson about how this seller does business. Screw me once shame on you. Screw me twice shame on me.

Forgot the finish.

The seller, Ebay and PayPal got their slices and I got ZIP, NADA, ZILCH a lighter wallet and NO lens!

Pretty clear to me.
