I have made several purchases from MPB and have sold them an item. I would have said that they were great to deal with until today. I purchased a Nikon P1000 from them but after receiving it, I decided it was way too big for my liking. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and I emailed them to ask for how to return for a refund. They told me that it has been more than 14 days since I received it…..it has not been! ….so they won’t refund it but I could sell it back to them

Ah no!!! So now I’m stuck with this camera and I will certainly never deal with MPB again.

Just beware

Don't you have a receipt? That would show the purchase date, and they'd have no argument with you.

If you have the proof of being within the 14 day return timetable & they were looking at the right invoice on their end, I’m surprised at their response. If it were me, I would call them and ask for the manager. I always find it more productive to talk to someone rather than by email.

The original information says you have 14 days from receiving the item, not when you ordered it. I’m not in any mood to deal with them after having made several purchases from them. I’ll just sell it elsewhere and be done with them

This sounds like an admission, indirectly that you are wrong, and you don't want to admit it here.

Many stores have a return time period that seems sshort. However, the warranty usually has a much longer period iin which you can get a full refund from the company. In the worst-case scenario, you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, if you live in the US. --Richard

Can you tell us the following things.
1. When did you order it?
2. When did you receive it?
3. When did you emailed and ask for return and refund?
4. When did they emailed you and said the 14 days has passed?

Even if your allegation against MPB is true, if I stopped dealing with every retailer, merchant or other service provider who has messed up at some point I'd be wearing home spun, growing all my vegetables, raising and butchering livestock, generating my own electricity, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So help yourself.

I’ve never dealt with MPB. Where are they located?? I gather they don’t automatically provide tracking - shipping can be slow in the U.S. Their choice of slow shipping to your place would be reason alone for me to choose someone else. We get shipping from B&H which normally takes only a day or so. Robert’s is within three hours by car from here, so even USPS can’t mess up shipping.

You should have proof of when it was purchased. This may be an oversight and worth an investment of time.

I wouldn’t jump the gun. More than anything else, I am inclined to believe COSMO54. Let’s see how this plays out.
