Thanks, Jack. I think I agree with you. About the Little Blue and the Sora anyway. I humbly think the Little Blue shot is one of my very best, ever! I REALLY like that shot!! Not sure about the Willet, this guy just seems a lot bigger than that. But I remember being wrong, -once-. I was hoping that one time cured me of that nonsense, once and for all!

Yeah I remember that feeling once, I thought I made a mistake but I didn't. In this case you are right. Check the wing pattern in the second shot, that's diagnostic for Willets

All great shots Keith. My favorites are the first and last. The first the reflection makes the shot along with great color and composition. The last was like he posed for you with the wing spread. You had a great day.
Johnny

Thanks, Johnny! I agree and yes, we had a great day!

Went to Black Point Friday morning with a fellow Hogger. Thanks for the loan of the 500mm PF Dave! What a SWEET lens! Pleasure to meet you and brother Dan. Sorry we couldn't show you a Kingfisher. As luck would have it, we went back this morning and saw a beautiful male KF close and in great light.
#1 here is a Juvenile Little Blue Heron and a beautiful photo if I do say so!
# 2 and 3 here is a Sora. Looks like a Rail, but my bird book says no it isn't. It's a Krake.??
# 4 and 5 is a...I have no idea! If any one does, please let me know. I've been through my go to Bird ID Book twice and still have no idea.
I hope you like!

Beautiful photos, as usual. Numbers 4 and 5 are, according to my Merlin Bird ID app, Western Willet. They are paler and gayer than the Eastern Willet.

A bit odd since the photos are from Florida. Maybe they got lost! But I'm going to use that as the reason I didn't recognize them!
Thank you, Steve!

Mucho thanks for a great time and the pleasure was mine! I've been been crazy busy with family and will be at Orlando Wetlands this morning. They built a boardwalk since my last trip.

There is no excuse for hiding the Kingfisher and your lovely CO should straighten you out and confine you to riding in the back seat with your baby! See you next time! Maybe Lake Apopka will be on the agenda, but Black Point always works well.

Thanks Dave! I hope your mother is well.
Riding in the back seat with Coco is doable, but then Judy would be responsible for not missing anything photo worthy!
Black Point is a good wildlife drive, but we both prefer Lake Apopka. We will be there all next month before we head out again in search of whatever we are in search of! Cooler weather if nothing else!
I hope you get something good at Orlando Wetlands!!
