Great shot, Dave! Yeah, we got some very similar to that! You never know what Black Point will be serving up!! We saw the Sora again the next day there after a later start. And saw him again this morning but no chance at a shot!

BTW, the Wetlands was loaded with activity! All I had time for was the boardwalk. Follow up and reserve a ride on the tram. Maybe next time!

Thanks, Dave. We are moving up closer to Lake Apopka in a couple days. We already made and paid for reservations, then come to find out that Lake Apopka is closed to vehicles for an undetermined length of time for road repair! We have been planning to visit on bicycles so we would have access to the drive during the week instead of waiting for weekends, so I guess we will have to put that plan into action. I hope we can get Coco trained to ride a bicycle soon!!

Lol! I can see Coco in a seat wearing goggles!

Lots of road around Apopka...I'd have to go into training!

I think she is too dignified to do that, but we do have a plan for a bike child carrier. So far she doesn't want to have anything to do with it, but I think she will eventually come around. We can't just leave her behind at this stage. I think that would destroy her!! Whatever progress she and we have made in socializing her would go right down the drain. But we will figure something out in the end.

Not sure how I missed this one a while ago but what a treat to see it today, Chief!!
You've got your ID on the Willet, long ago. I am far from a birder but google lens makes ID's really simple most often! (in Chrome, right click and choose)
Love the first and last, bookend beauties sir, well done!!

Thank you, Rob! I don't generally use the computer for bird id's. Just not a big fan of computers in general! I know I sound like an old fuddy duddy, but I don't care. I have four, count them, FOUR bird id books that I use. Two on a regular basis, and I do pretty well on them. And two backups if I really need them.
We have moved back north, closer to Lake Apoka. Tomorrow is our first Friday back here so we will be out bright and early to the Lake and hoping for a great day! Keep a look out for a post tomorrow pm.
