OK, sorry.

Now, I stay away from criticizing folks work as a whole. I have no opinion on that. On the other hand, I will comment of folks images that are posted in the wrong section for clicks. There, I have no hold barred as long as it is about the capture, not the person.

I slammed curmudgeon today for a good reason, as explained earlier. When he posts in one of the sections I monitor, I stay away, even if I have a strong opinion about it. I basically avoid conflict with folks who have issues with me. I call that being polite and non-confrontational. Essentially, I do not react the same way when I am 'in charge' of something.

As to my image changing because I post something controversial? Quite honestly, it is of no concern of mine. Folks can and should think what they want.
OK, sorry. br br Now, I stay away from criticizin... (show quote)

Accepted and good to move on. Keep up your good work.

Sooner or later one or the other will humble themselves about their opinion, unless you want all out conflict to break out.

Changing an opinion because new, convincing information is offered is not 'humbling' one self, quite the contrary. To me, a person able to change their point of view due to legitimate contradiction is worthy of respect.

There is no humility there, just strength. One must respect that.

As to agreeing to disagree? This is just an admission of failure, whatever the reason, not humbling either.

Well, thanks for your opinion. Let me contemplate on that awhile. 🙂

I am kind of wondering why folks add the 'H' when giving their opinion.

Either you have an opinion or you do not. If you qualify it as 'humble' you weaken it, basically typing it isn't worth much.

Instead, use either IMO or IMOO. The later meaning is only your own, based on your own experience, and not related to anyone else's.

IMHO as 'Humble'? Phooey.

IMHO IMOO = IMO

Clearly your own opinion is not humble.

So you are saying that once you express your opionion, I must either agree with you or keep my mouth shut. Anything else would be rude.

Rather like "kind of wondering"? Either you are wondering or not, no?

IMHO is simply a convention, nothing more.

Absolutely not, this is not what I am suggesting, far from it.

I have been told by more than a few people that, well, humble I am not. Therefore I have settled on IMEO - In My Esteemed Opinion.

Opinions can’t be weakened by modifiers, they are your opinion and that’s all. They are not arguments, suggestions or mandates where the chances of influencing an outcome will vary based on the wording. Having an agenda is not a requirement for expressing an opinion, many here on UHH tend to not understand this.
