I am kind of wondering why folks add the 'H' when giving their opinion.
Either you have an opinion or you do not. If you qualify it as 'humble' you weaken it, basically typing it isn't worth much.
Instead, use either IMO or IMOO. The later meaning is only your own, based on your own experience, and not related to anyone else's.

When compared to the way more than seven billion opinions available to consider, your opinion is pretty humble whether you like it or not. Having a flawed opinion remains unchanged by a lack of humility. The idea that only the weak compromise is at the root of today's world situation. But hey, that's just my opinion, humble or not.

In this context, humble probably means respectful, and does not weaken the opinion.

As an example, I was in a coma for a few days, then in ICU for about three weeks. My opinion of the health care I experienced is from a unique POV so few if any can relate to it. My appreciation of the folks who worked on me from lowly kitchen staff to the top-notch surgeons is based on that, nothing else. Note, 'lowly' is not a diss, far from it. I just do not want to omit them because while hidden and working in the background they did a bang-up job too.
So, my opinion because a 'MOO' from a 'MOE' (experience) which might be more accurate, come to think of it.

This is IMLTHO an unnecessary discussion because an opinion whether offered humbly or not is still just that....an opinion. An opinion is not in and by itself a fact, nor is it more valid or useful whether it is offered humbly or not. If anything, an opinion offered humbly is a method of avoiding overt conflict with those who might disagree with their opinions. It comes down to this, some people enjoy and thrive on conflict, and others want to avoid the conflict and drama that often goes with it. Then there are the peacemakers who want to keep the discussion civil and helpful to all. That is my LTHO. LoL......

It seems adding the "H" has become deemed as something of a self-aggrandizement -- probably akin to adding "just saying" or "so I've heard" after something of a snide remark.
