I have experienced the same problem as you and new glasses do not help. i notice the problem mostly on the export page and it is difficult to see if I make a typing error when labeling or filing a pic.
I'm wondering if there is a setting for type size that we have mistakenly mis-entered. The rest of LR seems to be the correct size, just the tiny export settings seem to be the problem.
Hopefully someone will have a remedy.
I finally got my screen fonts where they need to be. But you're right, the export screen remains quite small.
Yep. It works. I now have mine at 150%. Thx
Changing to "Large" did to increase the font size on my monitor. as a writer said, on HiDpi monitors, it does not help. Mine is 5,000 pixels across, so that explains it, I think.
But... if I go to Apple, System Preferences, Displays, and then choose Display Settings in the left lower corner.... then I can choose the "Larger Text" choice. That enlarges LR and its words, so it fills the screen (and the words look a little larger).
(I usually keep mine midway between that choice and the "default". But try the "Larger Text. It helps a little).
I had cataract procedures on both eyes in April this year. The eye surgeon used ultra sound to pulverize the old hardened lens and flush it out before inserting the new lens; according to him using ultra sound allowed him to make a smaller incision for the procedure. It was the day after my first procedure, during my post procedure follow up in office that what he did really hit me....the sky was actually blue, not aquamarine in color; and everything was so BRIGHT...WOW! I use inexpensive cheaters to read; at my job I am required to read text and numbers so small that I refer to them as the size of fly poop. They may be as small as 6 point which is pretty darn small type (I worked in graphic arts for a lot of years). I also have a pair of reading glasses the Rx for which was given by the cataract eye surgeon who also suggested I not go too strong with my cheaters magnification. So far I can handle shooting pics and not have to wear glasses to do so. My personal challenge since my procedures, I wear sunglasses almost all the time, even on some cloudy days. I just got back from 8 days in NW Arizona, SW Utah and the Lake Mead and Valley of Fire area...amazing seeing colors naturally. What may be a lifelong challenge after those procedures, night driving and the glare from oncoming headlights especially on two lane roads and sometimes the glare in rear view mirrors while driving at night. I had no options, cataract procedures had to be done; I had near zero depth perception at night before, and was told after the fact I was near blind in my right eye.

Tried that. Didn't work on my MacBook.
For some reason it won't always work for me, but 95% of the time it does.
That's the same link someone else gave. Thanks.

It was laser surgery. I don't know what kind of implant I got, but I got both for distance. I still have a slight astigmatism, so I do need to wear glasses. I can see my computer screen just fine without glasses until I get to LR. It's text is TINY! I have to get up really close to read it. I sort of know where things are, so I can maneuver, but it's getting annoying. I don't remember the text being that small before.
Since your eyes have been optimized for distance vision, you need a prescription for computer glasses. Have an eye doctor do it because you need glasses that correct for BOTH distance AND your particular astigmatism.
This is why regular off the shelf reading glasses won't work so well.
Measure the distance from your eye to the screen when you are in a comfortable position, they can easily optimize a prescription for that distance. Because such glasses don't have to be progressive lenses, they are usually cheaper.
PS Your eye doctor may even be able to allow you to hold up diopter lenses in front of your astigmatism glasses at a computer in their office so you can dil in exactly the magnification you like.

I actually have my new prescription. They wouldn't do my computer distance. Actually, it was fine until all of a sudden the LR text became tiny. That is now fixed.

Last spring I had cataract surgery. Now my glasses are a lot LESS strong than before. (And I can no longer see with my old glasses.) Now my problem is that I cannot see the text on my LR screen. Is there a way to make that text larger? I've made my e-mail text larger by simply hitting control and the scroller on my mouse. That doesn't work in LR.
Oh, the problems I am seeing for my future with all these replies. I will be getting cataract surgery after the 1st of the year and have been busy learning my options. Glasses for near sightedness since age 13, and astigmatism too.
I wear progressive lenses now and the prescription has been getting stronger and stronger, and rediculously stronger for the past few years as the changes to my eyes are starting to really kick in and now I'm at the at the point that reading from a book is even a challenge since the distance to the page is different between the middle of the page and the edges. I do much better reading from my tablet since the screen is flat.
I am leaning towards correcting for distance vision in both eyes and also correcting for astigmatism too. I have heard that adding correction for closeup sometimes leads to halos with bright lights. But things are now at the point I don't like driving at night since headlights and taillights are just a blob of smeared light. And I can't read the road signs until I am right on top of them.
I remember when I was young and looking through a telescope at night at the stars and how they were nice pinpoints of light. Not anymore. Now they are just blobs of light. I am leaning towards both eyes for distance so that I can see those stars clearly again.
Same thing happened me. I bought 2.50X cheaters at the local Dollar Store. No more problems.

It is amazing how clear everything is suddenly! They recommended that I do both for distance.
