I use both a dedicated camera and my phone to take pictures. It is nice to be able to show family members, coworkers, etc pictures from my phone gallery. The pictures are also downloaded to my Flickr and Snapfish account so I at least have that should something happen. I print from the pictures that I took from my camera.

I don't think so. I looked at his images at the beginning of the video, all of them could be done with a S22 Ultru or Iphone14. Bokeh is not there but it can be done in camera or photoshop. Is artificial bokeh good enough? Yep, that the average person cannot tell the difference or will not know you did it.

One thing cellphones do not offer is a fast shutter speed when you a taking sports photos but for still photos any camera takes excellent photos no matter if it a DSLR/Mirrorless or Cellphone. It is how the user operates the camera.

Really, what shutter speed do you consider fast?
My samsung S22 Ultra goes up to 1/12,000 of a second? What shutter speed does your dslr go up to?

My Olympus mechanical shutter is 1/8000. The electronic shutter is 1/32000.

But I can tell the difference.

When you use 3x telephoto on the iPhone 14, is it always 12 MP and not 48MP? If so, are photos with a DSLR/Digital camera using a telephoto lens superior due to a higher MP. Also, what is 3x equivalent to in DSLR/Digital lenses?

To me, the progress in photography involved with smartphones has been amazing. Dedicated Camera companies put out a new camera every three or four years with incremental improvements. Smartphone cameras are upgraded every year. At this rate, it won't take long for smartphones to have parity with dedicated cameras in a relatively short time. Just as film photography was replace with digital photography, smartphones will replace dedicated cameras eventually. Progress changes things.

But olympus is not a real camera

My point is today's phones are way more advanced than they used to be and they will do almost as much as a higher level camera Especially for the average person or the non enthusiast photographer

Wrong my s22ultra has 1/1000 shutter and can go much higher
Why are the apple fan boys so mis informed about other far superior phones out there?

I am not so sure. Hundreds of pro photographers could not. If an image is processed for bokeh by a good graphics artist using depth maps or Luminar neo, or even Iphone you are probably not the one guy that could figure this out of hundreds and even that guy might have had a lucky guess. Double blind testing would have to be done.

I was just joking, but yes I have shot one, and would not own one. At least at this point in time. I chose Canon and I may have to stick with that decision. But if I could change, I would go Sony. Not because Oly is bad, but Canon Nikon and Sony are better. That is a personal choice. I am not a fanboy of any but I have good reasons not to go with Oly and it has nothing to do with IQ, features, or quality

I’m curious as to what those reasons could be. I shoot Nikon, Olympus and Sony and my OM-1 is most often the camera I grab.

Why using the different lenses change the mp's? Are there different sensors for each lens?

Probably the sensor is a significant cost. To put a 48mp on 3 or 4 cameras on the back of the phone increases the cost considerably.

I agree they should use the higher resolutions on every camera. The Samsung has 5 cameras. The selfie came is 40mp but the 320mm equivalent is only 10mp. did not make sense to me.
