I’m curious as to what those reasons could be. I shoot Nikon, Olympus and Sony and my OM-1 is most often the camera I grab.
I have big hands. Even the R5 is not as comfortable in my hands as say a full side dslr. I prefer 1dx line size (not so keen on the weight but you can't have everything)
The 1dx/r5 have 3 buttons for back button AF.
And while I like the OM-1 features the AF is not as good and has no easy way to switch between modes easily. I am also not a fan of the 4/3rds crop. F4 is really F8 but for sports the equivalency makes the telephoto reach great. The OM1 make for a budget sports shooters dream.
The biggest downside for me is ergos and access. But some people want even smaller cameras so Oly is not going to please everyone.

I like the ergonomics of the OM-1 but I get the hand thing. I have a friend that went to the Sony A1 and said he added the vertical grip because it felt too small. As for AF, the OM-1 is no slouch but there is a learning curve because the do things differently for setting things up.
