I am located about 40 miles south of Tampa in Ellenton, Florida, Manatee County. Not in an evac or flood zone but who knows????
Don't know when I will be back on the air and checking in with our great members but I hope soon. Expect to lose power and
internet. Have food, water, gas and a generator so hoping for the best.

Been through Charlie, Frances, and Jean in 2004. (Among 20+ others)
They are DEFINITELY not fun.

May every one in the path of Ian or any other hurricane be safe and well.
Our oldest son and our daughter were both deployed with "Team Rubicon" to Houston after Harvey. I went through a few while stationed at Qui Nhon in Vietnam in the late 60s. We landed a week late because the transport was circling offshore in one, then the waves were too big for us to unload at a pier, so we went ashore in Higgins Boats. They call them Typhoons, but they are the same thing.
Not much fun at all.

You mentioned you had a generator. Hopefully you have a couple of small window units to keep you cool. I do in my area and I live in the Corpus Christi area in Texas. Good luck and may God keep you safe Because we would like to hear from you and not of you.
