Chihuly Gardens is right next to the Needle.
It is even more spectacular if you shot it after dark.

I'll have 2 days - and no car. So...for a travel writer/photographer - what are the must-do/see/eat spots in Seattle (and some hidden gems please!) And maybe a B&B near the historic district. THANKS!!

Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island. It’s the Staten Island Ferry ride of Seattle. Great vistas of Seattle skyline.

I have time in Victoria on the way back to Seattle - it is the last cruise stop. I'm planning on visiting 2 gardens while there.

We were in Victoria in early May. We'd previously been to Butchart Gardens, but hit it this time when all the tulips were in bloom. We also visited Hatley Castle and Gardens. Both gardens were nice!

When we had visitors we had a destination to see much of the best of Seattle.

Start with an early visit to the Pike Place Market with activity beginning around 7 AM, from there take the sidewalk down to the waterfront and catch the Seattle to Bainbridge Ferry for a roundtrip as a walk-on passenger. You might consider doing a second walk on with the ferry as an evening destination as it is a very good time for sunset views
of the Seattle skyline. When you get to Bainbridge you will need to get off the ferry and then getback on the ferry.

Another evening option is to go to Kerry Park for a sunset view of the Seattle skyline as post previously here. Probably use Uber to get to Kerry Park.

Have a great visit.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a museum, with a bit of garden attached. The contents are unlike anything you will see anywhere else. Room after room displaying different forms of art glass that is truly beautiful. Several of the rooms will be somewhat dark, working best with a camera, not just a cell phone. But the cell phone works great in the garden areas, all of which are stunning.

I don't remember the name of the B&B place near the Pike Place Market, but you might google destinations for B&B near the Pile Place Market.

Sounds lovely! I'll definitely try to fit in Hatley. Butchart & another garden are already on my list!

Stay at the Inn at the Market in heart of Pikes Market with secret outdoor deck over looking the entire area...no restaurant but more than a dozen within walking distance+a bakery or 2 and wonderful Museum within a few bocks. A little pricey but you will never forget it and always return there.

The underground tour is worthwhile. A walk around the University is very worthwhile. Pike's market is fun. Go to Bainbridge Is. on the ferry at the bottom of Madison Ave. for some really great shots of the city from a distance. Stay off 3rd Ave. downtown....it ain't pretty.

If you are interested in technology or engineering, book a half-day tour of the Boeing plant - they will pick you up at your hotel. It is pretty amazing! Day shift is (or was, when I went) 30,000 workers! Not sure if they are still doing this, what with COVID, but when I went I booked it through Viator.com I also booked a full-day trip to the Olympic Peninsula, which was also very good.
