We did a tour of the original city underground, fascinating history and opportunity for photos from an unusual perspective, but would need to use one or more of high iso, flash, tripod. The latter would probably be cumbersome.
WOW!! That is stunning!! How far is it from the city, and how would I get there (no car).
Not sure, but expect there are buses or taxis that can get you there. It is in the Queen Ann district not too far from the space needle. Best of luck and hope you have a wonderful trip.

Thanks!! What could I do in one morning? I will have until about 1 before the cruise to do maybe one thing.
One Event total -- Pike Market. One Event In addition to the above -- Add the Waterfront Area (We did that in the evening, I forgot to mention it when I posted earlier). Maybe Ride the Ferris Wheel -- you'll get great views of Seattle.

An evening ferry boat ride over to Bainbridge Island and back. About 30-40 minutes each way and the sunset on the City as you return is awesome. Sunset today is about 8:52 PM so plan to be heading back to Seattle around 8:30 +/- for best views.
Underground Seattle fascinating. "Skid Road" where they earlier skidded logs down to the waterfront became "Skid Row" where homeless hung out and entered our language. A LOT of Seattle was very hilly and then washed down, burying existing buildings thus "Underground Seattle. PS. I was born in old Providence Hospital there 88 years ago. Space Needle gives you a panorama of the whole area Including where Seattle was first settled then abandoned.
Museum of History and Industry on Lake Union is a great place to visit and shoot. You can get around Seattle easily with Uber. My favorite restaurant in Seattle is Palisades...great food and great view.
