I like your work very much. Black and white photos stand alone. I like the double mat

I have a show coming up in April at the
Spark Photo Festival in Peterborough Ontario Canada and due to some massive house repairs I can't afford to properly frame my prints. Being a digital specialist I figured to do it all digitally and use a peel and stick substrate. I have 2 choices and ask your opinion on which one strikes you as more presentable. Of course the double mat would save me a pile of black ink considering that the entire show is in B/W but the triple just seems to pop. I have 34 prints to do and many are panoramas so that black ink just may become an issue. But certainly not as much as framing would be. Thanks for your help.

Very nice, I like the double and agree the purchaser will then frame it anyway. I like the picture, looks like the Giant’s Tomb island in Georgian Bay which if it is would make the clouds and sky be perfect the way you have depicted them. Nice work!

Double mat is a landscape. Triple mat is distant.
Triple mat looks great for a show.
What's it going to be big-guy ? What are you going to do ? Let us know.
As suggested each could be perferred depending on the image, the customer preferences and the presentation setting. I suggest do some of each let the customers pick the frame they like.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am going with the triple mat as that is what my gut tells me and the majority of those asked also vote the triple. For those interested, the photo is in Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland Canada. As stated I will be using a peel and stick substrate stuck directly on the wall but does not leave any residue and comes off cleanly and is reusable. The material will emulate a canvas finish but with a tighter weave than most are used to so the detail is evident. I have used this material for many projects and am very happy with it. The size of all photos will be 24x36+/- and the panos will be much wider. I do have 2 panos maxing out at 21x96 (yes, that's 8')
As for the individual who wanted to push their own vision of my work, thanks but
NO thanks.
These choices let your photo speak more for itself.

No - the beige colours don't work with these B&W images.
If you are seeing them as beige on your monitor then there is something wrong with your screen, as they are both a shade of grey. I would certainly agree that beige would not work.

Just trying to help - was not sure what you wanted advice on - the texture of the pics or the pseudo framing.
The "triple mat" is, of course, less contrasty, therefore not quite so severe, and shows more detail. That is about the picture not the presentation.

I love both of them but on a wall and in a professional situation I think the triple works best

I'd love to know what a "professional situation" is.
As previously stated - I am not a B/W fan - but the OPs market is seriously limited to those who are. And they have to be limited still further to those who like his pictures - which will also be limited. He is further limited by a display which will be anything but professional. Until he takes critical and positive advice into consideration he will be on to a hiding to nothing.
Reply sent with a sincere wish to help the OP.
The triple does POP!
Good Luck with your show.
Triple May is more striking by far.
