Triple; a more finished look.

It's just an opinion but my eyes go out from the picture in the first by into the picture with the second...so...it's the second for me.
Triple just looks far more finished and professional to my eye.
My impressions: This is a great image, lots of impact, mystery, leading the eye around. I may be imagining, but it sure looks to me like there is a greater contrast range in the second image (triple with black frame). I think the all white double mat presentation may be overwhelming the eye with all that white.
So, I would for sure vote for the triple, black frame version.
I agree with some of the others and like the triple mat best of the two. That black just seems to bring out more.

Triple enhances the picture more.

I have a show coming up in April at the
Spark Photo Festival in Peterborough Ontario Canada and due to some massive house repairs I can't afford to properly frame my prints. Being a digital specialist I figured to do it all digitally and use a peel and stick substrate. I have 2 choices and ask your opinion on which one strikes you as more presentable. Of course the double mat would save me a pile of black ink considering that the entire show is in B/W but the triple just seems to pop. I have 34 prints to do and many are panoramas so that black ink just may become an issue. But certainly not as much as framing would be. Thanks for your help.

I'm not a B/W fan, and for me your pic is too severe. However, the attached is for your consideration.
Good luck with the show.

No - the beige colours don't work with these B&W images.
