I have a show coming up in April at the
Spark Photo Festival in Peterborough Ontario Canada and due to some massive house repairs I can't afford to properly frame my prints. Being a digital specialist I figured to do it all digitally and use a peel and stick substrate. I have 2 choices and ask your opinion on which one strikes you as more presentable. Of course the double mat would save me a pile of black ink considering that the entire show is in B/W but the triple just seems to pop. I have 34 prints to do and many are panoramas so that black ink just may become an issue. But certainly not as much as framing would be. Thanks for your help.
The triple looks like a finished frame photo. I would go with the second one.
#2 looks the same only with a black frame. That's why they both look superb. Because both outcomes are excellent.
So my thought would be to go the simpler way with just the double mat, which is perfect by the way and not at all easy to do, and let that shine. Let people pick the framing that suits them. Give them that option. Good stuff.

My opinion for what is worth, I will go with the double. The triple mat over powers the photo.
The triple would look good in a living room but the double looks more business-like somehow, which might be quite appropriate for a festival display.

I'm not a B/W fan, and for me your pic is too severe. However, the attached is for your consideration.
Good luck with the show.

Agree. The triple brings out the photo.

I like the Triple. Looks elegant/formal to me.
