Sweet. Detroit is Still looking good.
Great collection. Loved the 65 Mustang. Number 9.

Yes, the Avanti is in great shape. The thing I remember about them is the "Boom!" they made when they were started. The imitations - with the square headlight surrounds - didn't have that sound.
I was pretty much a Chevy guy (with a nod toward MOPAR) during the days of the muscle cars, which were just beginning to be built by Detroit. It became a competition: Build cars for competition, and lucky consumers got the benefit.
One of the wickedest to come out of 1964 was the Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt. Only 100 were built, and it's reported only 60 still exist. If you could find and capture one of these elusive beasts, it would sure look great here!

Lee Iacocca designed the 64 1/2 Mustang and brought the car to the 64 World’s Fair!
Which at this Fair he new it was going to be popular and would sell. He then moved on and became Chryslers CEO and borrowed 100 million to bail them out of Bankruptcy. Paid the loan of within two years. BTW, Lee was the first every to become a CEO without have a degree in Business. At the Lehigh University Graduation Ceremony Speech 👨🎓 I got the opportunity to meet him. I asked him on Question, Why didn’t you design a car for Chrysler? If he did design a Chrysler car he would of be able to say I started my career with Ford (Mustang) and left me career designing a Chrysler car. Some say that he had part in designing the Dodge Viper. He chuckled when I mentioned it.
My first new car was a 1965 Chevelle just like the one in picture 5, thanks for the memories.
Another great set KT. I can't take my eyes off of the custom VW kit car in the background behind the '65 Riviera in pic #4. That's something I'd like to see up close ! Any other photos of it in the godan 1 collection ?
I owned a '63 Riviera, which #3 is. Another of my old cars I wish I still had. A very classy car.
