Thanks for the compliment! It was a very easy place to get beautiful photographs! ... except for the slightly bumpy ride, lol.

We visited Canyon De Chelly a couple of weeks ago, and several places along the way. Most of northern New Mexico and southwest Colorado, were past their autumn colors. However, Canyon De Chelly was just barely past prime autumn colors.
It is a challenge to get photos there, as you are riding in a tour vehicle (no personal vehicles allowed, but we were the only two, beside the guide). So, to make compensate, I cranked up my camera speed to 1200, and got several that I liked. Of course there were a few stops, but it was so beautiful EVERYWHERE! I think I snapped over 1500 shots. The ride was a little(?) rough in places, but we managed. Yes, I highly recommend the location for photography, and the history. The guides are Navajo, as it is on the reservation. She was very friendly, and knowledgeable!
I have not seen any posted here on UHH of that time of the year, so here are a few to maybe inspire you!

These are great captures from a vehicle. It is no wonder that so many prominent artists and Photographic artists spent long term "residencies" there. Our fabulous Southwest, so wrongly dubbed a desert wasteland by Eastern" sophisticates" and politicians. And there are so many others like the area including Taos and Santa Fe, NM, Death Valley, CA and NV, Pacific Grove, and so many more.

Indeed it is fabulously beautiful! We just got lucky and had the autumn colors. Not all were from the moving vehicle, but at least 50% I shot were. Usually the foreground will blur some, so I crop that, and lots are skewed so have to crop for that. Still, it was a fun, but challenging photographically ride.
