It is a challenge to get photos there, as you are riding in a tour vehicle (no personal vehicles allowed, but we were the only two, beside the guide). So, to make compensate, I cranked up my camera speed to 1200, and got several that I liked. Of course there were a few stops, but it was so beautiful EVERYWHERE! I think I snapped over 1500 shots. The ride was a little(?) rough in places, but we managed. Yes, I highly recommend the location for photography, and the history. The guides are Navajo, as it is on the reservation. She was very friendly, and knowledgeable!
I have not seen any posted here on UHH of that time of the year, so here are a few to maybe inspire you!

These are excellent images of the canyon. All I am used to seeing are the ruins of Canyon De Chelly. All these are new to me.

It is definitely worth the visit! Hint, just go in cooler weather, lol. I highly recommend when the leaves are changing, and plan on spending a couple of days. It was our 1st visit to this area. Yes, I do have more photos I would like to share. Thanks for your nice comment!

Compositions were easy there! Lighting was a little more challenging, but not terrible. Glad you liked them!

Glad you liked them. Actually, some of my better photos are to come later in this series (well, I hope you think so).

Glad to be able share with you, I do not recall seeing autumn photos of it either, anywhere.
Although I will post a few of the ruins later, most of what I shot were of the canyon walls, with the autumn trees/leaves. A lot to see there, for sure. I got in lots of 'practice' shooting from a moving, bouncing vehicle (hints: high shutter speed, point camera either forward, or backwards, -NOT straight out, for least amount of blur). The auto ISO stayed relatively low.
Interesting side note: Google pronounces it Chelly (rhymes with jelly), but it is correctly pronounced Shay.

It was, er 'challenging', lol. Glad you liked them!
The guide probably thought I was, maybe a little disinterested in her dialogue (because I kept the camera in front of my eyes), but I made sure she knew I was keeping up with her informative narrative of the area, by asking lots of pertinent questions! It was very interesting, to say the least!

I am pleased you think so, I am a little disappointed in how some of the colors turned out after post processing (I do try to keep it as close as possible to what I saw). Some just would not cooperate! The scenes were quite vivid! I tried NXStudio, Lightroom, and PhotoShop 6 classic. Of course, I am not a 'Pro', but like to at least try. I look out my window for the blue of the sky. green of the cedars/pines, etc...
