Thats terrible what people do to those horses. The field that are being taken out of dosn't look that bad. As a horse owner I don't understand why people take on the responsibility of taken care of these beautiful animals.

The field that they are being taken out of is where I kept my horses in the winter the past 10 yrs or so. It's a 5 acre field that does have some grass left in it but not enough to be the only food source. We just got rid of our horses a few months ago...I feel the same way, just can't understand why someone could do that to them.

When we got a horse for our granddaughter, a 19 yr old AQH, he was undernourished and about 150 pounds underweight. Really bad shape. Took about a year to get him back up to fighting trim, plus now he has a little Miss that loves him. To quote a saying, "All horses, at least once in their lives, deserve to be loved by a little girl." Hopefully the same will happen to these 'rescues.'

Awwww.....love this photo! I agree....every little girl should feel the love of a horse...it's unconditional and same for the horse! We rescued one back in 2011 ...he was pretty bad as well...here is a before and after shot.....that horse turned out to be such a wonderful loving guy! Put a lot of miles on that guy.

I pray that those 17 that they confiscated will find loving homes as well.
