4x5 is wimp. You need one of these, built to photograph a train in 1900. 8x4.5 Feet negative on glass.
My new $20.00 64 G card just showed me 1300 raw and JPEG shots. If just JPEG 7000 shots.
Cleaning out some stuff found some old film and it stayed in my closet. Love spending my time in old darkroom.
There is one sense that digital can't replicate for a darkroom... the smell of chemicals. Victory!
I guess you could smell printer ink if you could get your nose down to the fill holes. Puff puff pass. 🤣🤣🤣
I am aware of the film movement of today. Film lovers are great but with today's tools and options well-
and their is a romance in film. I have just started with Fujifilm camera's and lens. My X-T3 has ten film simulations
built in the camera. For stills and video. And many adjustments for what the shots with look like. The Fuji system
has brought my creative passion back. I shoot with no lens hoods to play with flare. the effect in the camera are way superior to Canon's and Sony (I have Sony gear) It encourages me to shoot for creativity. colors, light leaks street photography something I have not done since I was young in NY. I was watching an old Cinemascope movie recently and i enjoyed the footage but it really was not so great. Wide Screen and good movie.
I have been practicing painting with the camera, over exposure, color fades and efx. Enjoy film I am enjoying
the art of photography trying to tell a story or efx that engaging myself and the viewer. Good luck.
I think it's great that you personally are having fun. That's all that really matters.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 My next door neighbor ran the local camera store when I was a kid in the early 60's. He got me interested in photography when he showed my brother and I a new Polaroid camera in 1961. He took a photo of us on the block wall and I was hooked. When I went to his shop it always had an odd smell which he gladly shared with my prying eyes. A big beautiful dark room. Later on when I became a newspaper boy I got to smell that odor again at the production room of the paper. And the ink... oh those big noisy German presses and the ink. Flashbacks.
When most digital cameras today became 24 pixels or better, that's when digital cameras finally caught up to film, (it sure took them long enough!), it's still fun to shoot film...the original raw file!
You could not pay me to go back to film. I spent years of my life processing film and then years in the darkroom. I love seeing the pictures right away and knowing if I have to make corrections. I love sitting with my iPad to do my post processing while I watch tv. I love Nikon digital cameras. I am a happy camper in the digital age.

Since retiring some 16 years now, my hobbies are photography & watches. I having a Sony A99 put together as the owner really abuse it. Mode Dial label was ripped off & the Shutter Dial smeared. My service person said it'll take time 2 get it back @ his cost? He mentioned $700-800 so i'll do it in installments?
I also have 4 good film cameras sitting on the shelves in my closet. Canon T-90, Nikon F4, Nikon F-100, & Contax G-2.
