Question: Can anyone tell me where Foliage Change is in "Full Color" now in VT or NY

Yes...
We were in Burlington during late Sept 3 yrs ago. It was great but didn't see too much in the way of changing color. Things were very different after a drive to Quebec City
We were so close today, about one-half mile from the Canadian border as we drove North, and we gave thought but decided not to cross the border because we did not want to get caught in any kind of a snafu. Agreed, stop would be nicer up there but, just did not want to take a chance

Just left Tupper Lake, NY yesterday. 20-25%. Locals say maybe 10 more days.
Thank you very much for the input. We are in Plattsburgh right now, and I'm going to be here two days. Then we're going over to Lake Placid and stay there either 4 or 5 days. It's my understanding there is a forecast for that area by the end of next week for the color to be somewhere around 75%
Also, I called the hotel that we were going to stay at and they confirm the information I had above

She is also generous. There is a season of peaks but the dates vary by altitude and other factors that are better known to foresters. If you have time to get around it's hard not to find some great spots even if some areas have passed their time. My favorite is the Adirondack region west of Lake Champlain.

Interesting that you should tell you that because that's exactly where we're at right now. Tonight and tomorrow we're staying in Plattsburgh and then we're going to travel over to Lake Placid and stay for either 4 or 5 days. Last week three nights in a row they had temperatures that 34 to 32 degrees so there's also the predictions that they color is going to be 75% by the middle to the end of next week.
Thank you again for your input and your help
Try smokymountains.com/fall-foliage-map. It shows coverage for all US now and future.

Good Morning Hoggers....
My wife and I are in Upstate Vermont (Burlington) right now and it seems we a "slightly" early the changing of the color for the leaves... We would dearly love to get come "calender worthy" shots of Autumn Scenery...
In the last several days, we have traveled the area of Stowe, coming from Maine, and we are seeing only about 10% to maybe 20% (???) in the coloring...
My question is... We have the ability to go anywhere in Vermont or New York and then south.....
... Can anyone give us "actual current reports" for locations of "full-color change happening right now ???"
Thanks so much in advance for your input and your help
Cheers

Thank you very much for your response.
And, I have been using that particular tool for the last 10 days but, the two of them is an estimate. It was my hopes that someone here on the site might actually have crew, up-to-date, accurate information with regards to the current events as opposed to what might be an estimate.
I have been using that tool along with a few other reference items and materials. That is why we are in the actual reason of the Adirondacks right now and plan to go to Lake Placid New York tomorrow for a four-day stay.
According to one eyewitness report for that specific area there indicating that there is a probability of 75% of color for mid to end of week next week starting this Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday at that particular location. Along with them after 2 or so testing that indicates a true high probability and that's the reason why we're going in that direction.
Again, thank you so much for your help. It's really appreciated.
A large amount of images were produced on this trip. The topmost picture was produced without post-processing. The shoreline was "moving away" from me in this picture. I have since used the move and crop tool in Affinity to display the shoreline as a flat (more or less) linear feature. Thanks for your patience

Henry,
if you posted the location in these images for some reason I overlooked it. Could you tell me again where you're actually shooting these pictures at.
Again, thanks in advance for all your input
I am in NH now. Very little color! From Ohio, very disappointed!
