Major League Baseball cancelled the All Star game in Atlanta as a result of their new voter law. The law calls for picture ID to vote.MLB does not approve of this change. But they require a picture ID to pick up reserved, pre-paid tickets at the Box office. I smell a "racist" hypocracy by MLB. OOPS Just looked at the title--Should have been MLB

MLB has a history of fraudulent votes and ballot box stuffing that has plagued the All-Star election process for decades, which caused them to change and restrict their voting methods more than two times in the past, 1957 and 2015.
In 2015 Major League Baseball voided over 60 million votes suspected of fraud when 8 Kansas City Royals players were “voted” in as starters. MLB said, “between 60 and 65 million votes had to be canceled. We don't really trumpet it because if someone thinks they're getting away with it, they'll try to do it again."
Now they announced they were moving the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, in response to Georgia passing anti-voter fraud legislation. MLB should understand that if people are willing to stuff the ballot box for an All-Star game, which is merely an exhibition, people will definitely stuff the ballot box for a Presidential election if anti-fraud voting measures are not in place. It's called human nature.
What if I said, everyone knows black people and people of color are inherently incapable of taking the most basic steps to get an ID? Would that be a racist statement?
How can this be considered racist? Doesn't everyone have to show ID or is it just blacks? Whats the big deal?
I guess the illeagals would be banned from voting without an ID.
Show your ID and vote.
Georgia should tell MLB, to keep on going and don't ever come back.
The snow-job of the Democrats obscures their actual motive here. The Democrats fear that requiring a picture ID to vote will likely result in fewer Democratic votes for the Democrat party. Little else makes sense in the fevered objections of the Democrats here. They continue to mischaracterize the purpose of the improvements in the Georgia voter law. So we read the cries of "Jim Crow" and racism thrown against the law. Scant objective assessment of the actual text of the law furthers the misdirection of the Democrat propaganda machine. The leadership of the sports teams shows a kneejerk response to this manipulation.

Don’t exaggerate and miss characterize the law by the statement

While the law call for a photo ID it is much much more than that and MLB never said any such thing.. I smell a lie
“”” It’s a potpourri of odious measures designed to make it harder for Georgians to vote and register, and easier for fringe groups to challenge their registration. It criminalizes “line-warming” or offering food and water to individuals waiting to vote, a practice that has become popular as the Georgia GOP has dramatically reduced the number of polling places over the past 10 years, increasing the amount of time voters — especially voters in mostly black precincts — must wait in line to cast their ballot.
And
It also bans third-party groups from sending absentee-ballot applications to voters, and ends the use of portable polling sites, like the mobile voting buses used in Democratic Fulton County last cycle. “””

Removing voting safeguards are the new 'Joe Crow' laws to cancel and dilute responsible people's votes.

Yeah, so what? Those provisions exist and are even more strict in over 30 other states including NY and Delaware.
This citizen has not closely followed this hotbed matter, because of so much of the usual onesideness and emotionalism minus facts and information, all aided and abetted by the news media workers.
One thing, however, remains fairly clear: From now on, voters must present a valid government ID in order to qualify to vote.
Presenting an ID for so many other activities has made this voter requirement essentially a trivial step of modern life in America. The widespread requirement of an ID renders moot the accusations of racism and Jim Crow against the Georgia law. It seems only an attempt to regularize the voting process.

No food or water for those waiting in line is a “ safeguard”??
Would the simple solution be to have mobile vans/buses go into locales where there are few public transit options? They could provide ID cards to people in need? Voter ID makes sense but let's not use the reasonable requirement to disenfranchise people who can't get to a government office.

FALSE: "No food or water for those waiting in line is a 'safeguard'??"
ACCURATE: The new law prevents political workers from distributing food and water. But others may do so.
