I made an observation, if my conclusion is incorrect, instead of irrational name calling, present a reasoned argument to dissuade me. Do you even know what equipment I use?
Pray tell why do I even need to bother

Reading other people's stories can give you inspiration and hope and the confidence you can afford a mirrorless camera from Canon.
The nikon z series is infinitely better than Canon if you don't like nikon go with Sony

Really? I am happy with my Canon 80D and to go mirrorless means to pay a lot of money (and I mean a lot of money!), for a body, lens, etc. Why should I do that when I am just fine with what I have and enjoy it?? I always like your posts, but on this one there is no "requirement" that everyone go mirrorless.
If someone steals your DSLR, be thankful. You'll then be free to go mirrorless.

If it was so good, it would be called Canon.
So what do you believe is the big advantage of mirrorless over DSLR?

How much do I love mirrorless? Let me count the ways:
Typically, in-body image stabilization (IBIS). All lenses, include legacy manual film lenses, now have IS support.
The exposure features of histograms and blinking highlight warnings can be displayed in the view finder during composition rather than being inspected from a test image.
The view finder can be zoomed by a factor of 10x to 'see' the details for focus, something DSLRs can do only on the rear LCD.
Images can be reviewed within the view finder, helpful in bright settings, where on a DSLR's LCD, many times you can't even see the LCD due to bright lights or glare.
Most brand-specific mount limits are removed, just get the correct adapter.
New and noticeably sharper lens designs specific to the mirrorless mount, as compared to adapted DSLR and legacy film lenses.
Depending on the old DSLR format vs the new mirrorless format, substantial reductions in size and weight can be achieved.

It is unfortunate that you narcissistic personality should take it like a direct attack on your choice of equipment. the world does not revolve around you and was in not way a personal attack on your fragile ego. Grow up!
It wasn't a personal attack? Maybe not, but what about now?

As a serious question, I'll give a serious reply.

I might be disappointed that the brand went away, but that's life.
My stuff is NOT an investment, but simply tools.
Howard Johnson's restaurant went away, as well as Comp USA, Kodak, and a crap load of other companies I liked.
And there will be more to come unfortunately......
Not worried about it.
Can't do anything about is.

I've enjoyed many of your previous comments in other threads. Can you explain why you feel compelled to lower yourself so much as to respond to anything CHG_CANON posts?
Look, Paul is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful members in this group. I think " Lower yourself " is rude and uncalled for... if you don't like his little tongue in cheek humor just scroll on by. Lord knows we have more than enough folks on here beating their chests on whatever their selection is... A little Humor helps to keep us all sane !

Maybe he was joking too? Although, those that seem to measure their self-worth based on their camera brand will tend to miss my humor in this area.
