Mac, I understood what you said. It made sense to me. I did not perceive an opinion being stated
Lewhite seems to have focused on just a few terms and formed an opinion about you that was offensive to him. This seems to be a way of thinking today.

I think the Beatles had the right idea. "Let It BE"

I still use my Nikon F3 along with my Nikon D850. I like them both. By the way I have 3 Hasselblads that are film and still use them

It is unfortunate that you narcissistic personality should take it like a direct attack on your choice of equipment. the world does not revolve around you and was in not way a personal attack on your fragile ego. Grow up!

I think Mac’s remarks were misinterpreted. I did not see them as direct attacks.

Every company I have worked for has mostly gone out of business.
Makes my resume useless for refences.

We see many dire warnings on UHH. The end of DSLRs. The demise of Nikon. Etc. For the most part these warnings come from people who do not use the equipment they are predicting the failure of. For example mirrorless users predicting DSLRs are finished, or Canon/Sony users predicting the collapse of Nikon. It seems the people initiating these posts get perverse enjoyment from seeing other brands have difficulties.

You make a major purchase of a camera system, spend something like $15000 on a complete Hebrew Trinity of Lenses. Then you have to justify the investment by dumping on those who were not as "enlightened" as you.

Matt Granger, who recently committed to the Nikon Z system, has an entire series of videos regarding his decision process. One of the areas he found most unappealing was the toxic nature of Sony fanboys

Had a similar record myself, but then I worked for the county, and then the state. The last two are still in business, still at their original locations, too.

Why are users of Sony cameras knocking nikon, you use the same sensors so why they run down Nikon cameras I do not know.

You're right. Why would Sony be complaining? They've got Nikon by the short ones.

Sony is now making Nikon's high-end sensors. They've embedded a clever bug into the Nikon cameras with these Sony sensors: the Nikon DSLR suddenly dies after a encrypted number of flips of the mirror the sensor can detect as different from the original Sony mirrorless cameras. Just look online for 'Nikon Sudden Death Syndrome'. I've seen a thread where they think from your Nikon serial number you can identify the week number in the calendar year (01 -> 53) your camera is most likely to die. The syndrome isn't even very hush-hush.

That makes sense. I can now understand the interest in mirrorless.

Sony is so clever that they are partnering with Elon Musk to produce a death star lazer beam embedded within the Sony Nikon chip which will destroy the camera plus the lens with certain number of actuations. lol
