That's unfortunate indeed; the few times I've used them the results were certainly acceptable at a very decent price! But...as another poster noted further up in the thread, give Bay Photo a shot...I used them for years 'back in the day' in Santa Cruz ( they obviously have a big on-line presence) for quite a bit of package printing - _always_ professional service!

I'll miss Costco photo. They usually did a great job at great prices. MY only issue was color balance. Once I had a 20 X 16 print made for a trade show of a boat on a trailer. They put a color cast on that changed just the color of the road that made the boat jump out--so it was perfect. Friends or customers love full size pictures and they were cheap enough to distribute to all who were at a special occasion. I'll try there mail in service.

We don't have Costco in our community. but we do have Sam's Club. And they quit photo processing a long time ago. Walgreens has a four month back log on photo processing. But Walmart still does photo processing.

If the service (photo printing) is not being used should they keep the labs open and keep paying people to sit around doing little or nothing? I feel that it’s more a reflection of the fact that more and more folks are choosing to display their work on line, while making physical prints to a very much lesser extent than was true in the past. A good many people who enjoy making physical prints also have options in terms of excellent printers that they can have at home.

That will work for me, having them on line and home delivery. They have always done a tremendous job on my best photos. I only print a few each year, usually the best of a vacation or family gathering, for framing and giving to family. Any other on line photo printing services folks like?

I have always found the print quality to be more reliable with their online processing anyway.

The weird part of this is that both Costco stores I frequent have recently had to add people in the photo department. The lines are quite long at the counters, and both managers report doing a booming business!

I am disappointed with the news. I used Costco a lot for my printing needs. When I checked out their on-line printing center I did not notice that they will print photos; it wasn't mentioned in the email I received. I guess I'll have to go back to their site and see if I can get prints (11x14 and larger) done.

A real bummer, but due to cell phones and advancing technology, it was not unexpected. I loved their service, but all things must pass.

No Costco store near me. Sam's club shut their labs down here years ago. I prefer the Kodak digital cafes over Fuji. Think Walgreens uses Fuji and CVS uses Kodak...CVS as Walgreens cafes have a limited amount of edits you can do on site. I prefer doing my edits home using Photoshop or Lightroom and saving them to a jump drive. I just plug my drive in and print, the quality of the print comes out exactly how I saved it to the drive... CVS's online service (send to Store) also works great. Send and pick up your prints in an hour or so.

Walmart uses Fuji as well. I have gotten good prints from them, but I've never tried enlargements. Right now, they are not allowing people to use their in-store machines. Do Walgreens? Does CVS?
