Can we also mention the stupidity in commercials. Buick advertises all the fantastic things their cars can do. They show a young man taking his "on the road" driver test and is asked to parallel park. He pushes a button and the car parks itself. The test examiner should give the car a passing grade and fail the young man.

Or using your cell phone while parasailing.

I have a couple, of course, top of the list for me is when I hear a educated person say something like: Me and my brothers are going to the store. I taught third grade English and I stressed put the other person first. Another one at top of the list are digital clocks. I'm late for something and hurrying as fast as I can and that @#$%^ thing clicks off another minute so I'm later yet. Just two put there's more and I've noticed as time goes by the list gets longer

Agree about the order but should also be "I" not "Me".

That one's on you. You shouldn't be crossing in front of traffic until you know it's clear on the other side. As a retired insurance adjuster I met many people who learned that lesson the hard way.

Of course you are right.

My driving peeve in the UK is drivers of BMWs, Audis and Mercs. They pay a premium for over priced vehicles and then think that puts them above the law. Those cars account for around 16% of vehicles on UK roads but their drivers commit over 80% of driving offences on our motorways. Also if you study the annual J D Power survey of car reliability in the UK, out of 24 makes of vehicle regularly tested BMW is usually 24th ( except 21st in 2016), Audi always 22nd/23rd and Merc Avge 15th. They pay a premium for poorly made vehicles and then behave as if they are above the law. Arghhhh!!!!!!

I often encounter those idiots when driving.

I have a phrase for that, Turning your indicators on after you start the turn is like taking your pants down after you start to shit, it's already too late.

One of my primary peeves while driving is what I call gotta be infronters! the lane is merging, accelerate, my off ramp is approaching, but I've sill got 2 car lengths before I have to force my way across 2+ lanes. I am willing to kill just to be in front of you.

Also, on the road, tailgaters bug me, the the ones that scare me are the heavies, lorries and buses and semi's
I doubt that there 1 in a 1000 of these "professional" drivers that has any concept of the stopping distance of these vehicles , under optimum conditions about 4 -5 times the cars around them

I agree with you on these terrible drivers of their "superior" cars. There is what I call the "Audi maneouvre" on the motorways - the object of which is for the driver to reach the fast lane in as short a distance as possible from the slip road. There is also the reverse whereby they leave the fast lane as close to the slip road exit as possible. The rest of the traffic on the motorway has to brake hard to avoid being hit by these maniacs. I've seen it performed so often that I instantly recognise it and it is invariably a German car that is doing it. They appear to be totally oblivious to what they are forcing others to do to avoid an accident. Whenever I've spoken to drivers of such cars they invariably claim that they have far better vehicles than the cheaper alternatives and that they would never buy them because they are complete crap! I then say "Well despite that belief you obviously have 100% faith in the braking ability of these cheap cars or you wouldn't be capable of driving so badly without being hit by them!". This is usually met by an expression of complete puzzlement on their faces.

My favorite memory of this stupidity is back in the late seventies when my friend and I spent time in California. My friend's uncle (who was living in California) was driving on one of their sixteen lane highways when a car went past our hood (bonnet) at 90 degrees to us.
I am happy to report that he did make his exit. However, the time it would have cost him to proceed safely to the next exit and backtrack on surface streets I am certain would have been far, far less than the time to wait for a wrecker to lift him off of the guardrail, get his car repaired, and finally proceed to his intended destination.

I agree. I've told my kids at least a million times to never exaggerate.

Also, so every sentence doesn't have to begin with "so" and end with exclamation marks!!!

I don't know if they changed it or not, but I tend to recall that the word 'and' was not to be used when saying a number; such as "five hundred and forty seven" for 547. I recall learning that it should be "five hundred, forty seven" - - leaving the 'and' out. Now I hear it in almost all cases when a number is spoken, and it tends to irk me.

I know it just gets to a person. Another example "Four Score AND Seven Years ago" should be "four score seven years ago"

What did I tell you about Audi and other German car drivers:
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/audi-driver-runs-over-mclaren-in-sainsbury-s-car-park-leaving-shoppers-in-disbelief/ar-BB1aaoRP?ocid=ob-fb-engb-1511253547831&fbclid=IwAR07ZP8ugG52_FaugxPLnY2CX5HpuujuARJznwyJUOg6tV5sMxGnRLBCoPk

This one managed to drive over the top of a Maclaren supercar in a supermarket carpark - absolute danger to everyone on the road.
