Good to hear that correct English is returning to our old colony!!!
The list goes on. . .
I agree with the original complaint about the brake lights being on because the driver is "riding" the brake. The good news is!!!!!...the driver/owner of the car will have to replace the brakes in half the normal life of the brakes. They wear down every time the user pushes the brakes. My dad was an automobile mechanic. He taught me how to change brakes. Now I know why it is so expensive to change the brakes. (Plus-I would add a little extra charge to the installation fees because the driver is an idiot!!)
A peeve for me is the incorrect apostrophization (ooooh, a new word!) of "its". I read a story supposedly written by an English major (in England, no less) that was filled with "its' ". Is that some kind of D-I-Y punctuation? ("I _think_ there should be an apostrophe in here, but I'm too lazy to find out.") Fortunately, the book was free.
The "thumb rule" is simple: replace the " ' " with " i", and if the sentence still makes sense, you got it right! :D

This a new peeve for me. I was trying to watch a video on learning GIMP. The kid kept going on and on about GIMP's antialiasing (AntiahlIahsing) capability. Does alias (AlEus) have a new pronunciation because it's anti? Couldn't seem to learn anything from him because every time he mispronounced alias I thought he was a moron.
My wife says I'm just grumpy.

Ahh, Ehh, EEE, Oh, Ooh, Ihh are correct A,E,I,O,U,Y vowel pronunciations in many languages and some English speaking countries.
“AuntyAhhLeeUs” works if you listen to the dialect long enough.
Don’t you wish life came with subtitles?
I’ve just discovered a new pet peeve:
Hog posts that go on and on and on and on............
