So, what would be the ‘fix’ here - would you work for Asian wages to make it happen??

Are you saying that our oil industry workers worked for Asian wages?

Again, not taking sides, just injecting some facts - fracking technology is responsible for the increase in domestic oil production (and driving down prices), not the president or the administration.

And who supported fracking, Obama?

I doubt that the US government has ever directly moved a US manufacturing facility to China.

Corporations have made the decisions to move production out of the US. Many reasons for this, but profit maximization and maximizing shareholder return are clearly major decision points.
I agree totally!
Additional factors will include: Companies not willing to pay workers fair wages. Regulations that required businesses to clean up processes to reduce water pollution and air pollution.

I contend that it is corporate profit decisions that is the number one reason manufacturing has moved overseas.

I am saying that bringing back manufacturing work would require lower wages than people {including you} are willing to work for.

Resurgence of the oil industry involved a change in technology that has no relevance to subject of this thread.

Might want to do a bit more research on this statement! The Obama administration worked hard to reduce oil dependence! They made many regulations regarding water safety! Fracking began many decades before Obama’s administration!
If you are going to throw stones better look at Bush, both Sr. and Jr.

Trump is a salesman - not a finance man and certainly not a doctor - and you buy the film-flam he sells. To answer your question - we will unnecessarily kill off a lot of citizens if we follow his plans.

Many good Republicans are questioning whether they should attend his coronation in Jacksonville.

Everyone who doesn't agree with Trump has to attack others by saying things like you just said, and you claim to be an educated Doctor. I never said I agree with everything Trump stands for and I'm not looking to buy anyone's flim-flam (not film-flam). I had to make a choice between Trump and Hillary Clinton. The choice was easy to make! This Country has had enough of the Clintons.

Obviously the Bush's supported fracking. They are oil men! Obama? Not so much!

No, I am not an educated doctor.
Neither is Mr. Trump, who seems to think that he is “smarter than all the doctors.”

In the choice between Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton, I voted Libertarian because I could not vote for either of them. During the Bush funeral in 2018, I realized that the words said about him were so true of him and so untrue of Mr. Trump.

Sure felt like one to me, but I take your point - America hasn’t been uniformly supportive of our military actions since WW2, primarily (in my opinion) because such a small percentage of our population serves and so few families are impacted. Every politician who votes to send American soldiers into harm’s way should be willing to send their own sons. Apologies for veering so far off-topic.
