Wow! I can't believe that you guys are still riding on a 7 year old thread, I have to ask, after 7 years and 53 pages just how much abuse do you think that MtnMan deserves for his unfortunate slip? He's an old man, maybe it is time to leave him alone, hell he may not even be with us anymore.

His last posts here were in 2017.

I just tried to order something from B&H. Their site told me they don't accept online orders till 7PM on Saturday. I understand the reason: they are Jewish and observing their Sabboth. While I agree that in the U.S. they are welcome to do so I am also welcome to not have them impose their religious beliefs on me. So I'll never try to order from them again.
This is just for information. I fully expect everyone in the U.S. to be free to make their own decisions on this type of thing.
I won't have my wife wear a burrkah either.

Realllllyyy??? Every business has the right to set its hours for whatever reason. They have lots of other people who order from them and most likely won't miss you. Take a stand where it really matters.
I’m Not watching This thread anymore enough said.
DISGUSTING! and at a time when racial prejudice is causing so much tragedy. I don't know whether to be sad or angry- BOTH?
I am a Jew! I did a year of school in Philidelphia- back in the day there was the BLUE LAW- you couldn't buy ANYTHING on SUNDAY. A few years back, up here in Canada, we had the "Lord's Day Act" merchants were fined for opening on Sunday. I never thought that anyone was imposing THEIR SABBATH on me. The same goes for many statutory holidays where the business is not conducted, which are based on ion Christian beliefs.
Nowadays, everything is open, in some cases 24/7. There is no time to rest and reflect. Folks are spoiled- everyone wants everything instantly!
Bigotry, prejudice, racism, and stupidity are a bad mix- makes me wanna puke!

OK- so who is the "theologian" who found it and brought it back! Good timing, eh! Besides, I am sick and tired of all of the theses ridiculous posts with "complaints" about B&H...late shipping, other mistakes, etc. They are a fine company and are known for great customer service and always correct any errors. A friend of mine works for the Better Business Bureau. He told me EVERY company and organization get complaints- even the best of the best. He finds that many folks go right the BBB or other consumer protection organizations, lawyers, and write scathing reviews in consumer columns and consumer complaints radio shows WITHOUT complaining directly to the company and asking for a resolution!
The only time the BBB issues a poor report is when companies do not respond to complaints.
They are not imposing their religion on you. They are Observing their religion themselves. Do you whine when Seventh Day Adventists, or Catholics, do the same? I doubt it. You DO realize that the whole ‘closed On Sunday’ thing WAS imposed on the world by The Popes...don’t you?

Is this even a serious post?? If you really believe this, then don't go to Chick-Fil-A either -- they close on Sundays out of respect for their religious beliefs.
I'm not Jewish either, but I've always respected the fact that B&H seems to live by their own beliefs. Good for them.

I think everyone is missing mtnman’s point. He is telling us that he hates Jews and that he’s a pathetically ignorant bigot and anti-semite. His whining about B&H is just his pretense. What he’s really saying is that he’s an ignorant hater. He should be banned from the UHH group so he can spend more time with his hater white supremacy friends.
I had to look back and see who it was that dragged up a 7 year old post. Why? Probably some of the people posting don't even realize it's that old. Mtnman doesn't even seem to be here any more, so it's going to be hard to ban him.
The age of the original post does not matter. Bigots and haters have been around for a long time and unfortunately enough, they still exist and will be around for the foreseeable future. The racial unrest that is ongoing currently goes back to the era predating the American Civil War. The Hollicost, comparatively speaking, is recent history. Hate, genocide, and all that relates to it is still ongoing all over the world. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe it's the year 2020!
Oftentimes bad and even tragic occurrences lead to better things. The despicable and murderous events of the last few months have to give rise to righteous and widespread protest. Even here on this rather small forum community, it's heartening to see that folks do not tolerate bigotry, hatred, and intolerance and step up and speak out against it.
I am not interested in revenge or "banning" people- I wish no harm or discomfort to anyone. It's a free country with free speech and the folks who spew hatred bring disdain upon themselves when they show their true colors. The people that put stuff like that online would not have the guts to say those things to your face. The cowards who march with torches and burn crosses in public adhere to gang-mentality. One to one, they are weaklings.
Nikon Ed done bad. Let’s kill his dog and burn down his house.
