You just had to go and politicize your point of view. I'll have you know, that I am a resident of Ventura County and until you turned the discussion into a Liberal vs. Conservative one, I completely agreed with you. But for your edification, let me approximate the polling that came out yesterday. More than 65 percent of the country is in favor of wearing masks. The only group that is more against than for are the Republicans. In congress, it is the Republican side of the aisle that is refusing to wear masks, not the so called "Liberals." I am what some would call a "bleeding heart liberal" and I never name-call except when the recipient is someone who truly deserves it like the President for his failure during the pandemic or the majority leader of the Senate for his refusal to bring any legislation to the floor. (He even calls himself the grim reaper.) And for the record, it is the extreme right wing in this country that attended Trump's two mask-less rallies and likely spread the virus much more widely in both Oklahoma and Arizona. So, while I totally agree with you about the necessity of wearing a mask for everyone's protection, I couldn't let your dig at Liberals stand.
You just had to go and politicize your point of vi... (show quote)

Even Dick Cheney, in my mind the consummate Conservative, posed for his daughter with a mask.

When you care about others around you, you wear a mask.
Thus, when you don't wear a mask....

I really doubt if the national Covid death rate is half the annual flu death rate.
Do you have documentation?
That would mean that we typically lose over 200K to the flu annually.

Here in Indiana, we lost 121 Hoosiers to the flu this past season while we have lost twenty times as many so far to Covid, even though the state has had a "level" or "declining" rate in the past few months.

Your feelings are irrelevant to what I heard on the radio about the CDC.

Their statistics are independent of my feelings.
They made mistakes in making the first test.
No {reasonable} one has ever questioned their keeping of statistics.

Ah yes, just what we all need, more covid19 doom and gloom. I'm guessing you're one of those folks who puts on the face mask before leaving the house, wears it in the car, and doesn't take it off until safely back in your bleach sented home.

Where were these doom and gloom addicts when all the other viruses were around killing thousands of people with compromised immune systems. Creating a strong immune system is of much greater importance than mostly ineffective mask use. Why isn't the Center for Communicable Diseases pushing methods of immune system strengthening instead of PANIC spreading?

Did you guys know the FDA just approved a drug that reduces your chance of getting COVID-19 by 5X? It’s trade name is called Wearamaskasshole. Side effects include mild inconvenience, possible victim complex, fear of people thinking you are a sheeple, being ostracized by your anti-vax plandemic bros, and the power to stop your own asymptomatic transmission as this country stubbornly dives right on into that second wave.

Check with your doctor, or really anyone, to see if Wearamaskasshole is right for you.

Please, no Myths. The generic masks do not block Oxygen molecules. The mask that individual was wearing needs to be presented for further illumination. For failure of Oxygen, it indicates that the lack of "fresh air" in the ambient environment to be more likely.

The Architect plays "Telephone" all by himself. All the live long day.
There ARE machines that can separate atmospheric gases. Like for CO2, etc. Wally doesn't have them.
The mask COULD have helped- if he was huffing thru it. Any ether, alcohol, whipped cream cans?
Was this a trained med tech to determine O2 deprivation? It could have been autoerotic asphyxiation, also.
Patechia signs? Blame the mask, cover up for the friend.
Then again, a magic mask that easily removes oxygen would be a boon for food storage.
