A Rehearsal? - Broaden your viewpoint. Even in the tundra, as some have mentioned, the captured frozen greenhouse gases are (different estimates) 10x or greater than we experience from all the pollution we spew out in a year. If all of this is released, everyone will need heavy applications of UV sun spray or lotion.
So many different things are happening that all affect the environment of everyone that it's difficult to keep up. I've read reports dating back more than 10 years that most new viruses appear from birds that migrate from the Antartic snowmelt and fly to Southeast Asia where, speculation, the bird droppings, etc. get into pig pens and other animal shelters where they genetically make the transition to eventually infect humans. Even if this theory is not true, it is at least plausible. This isn't a country vs. country battle. It's a "humanity" battle that we must win. No country must keep any illness/infection information from all other countries - for the sake of us all.
And, it's a lot bigger than partisan politics.

Yep. From CDC:
CDC estimates that the burden of illness during the 2018–2019 season included an estimated 35.5 million people getting sick with influenza, 16.5 million people going to a health care provider for their illness, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths from influenza.
Deaths from Covid-19 hit 45,000 this week. The total will be much worse.

I won’t argue with you here - I will make this one comment - but frankly I agree with Ana Navarro. She was born in Nicaragua, and at one point her father was a “Contra”. After she settled in the US, she eventually became a Republican strategist, a friend of the Bush family because of Iran - Contra, and later a CNN contributer. In the run-up to the primaries she was asked if there was a Democrat she could see herself voting for over Trump. Her reply was that she would vote for a potted cactus if it ran against him.
I believe Mr. Trump has had good days - for example he questioned today whether it was time for Georgia to relax in their “stay at home” effort - but he would have to do much to make me forget the last three years of turning every every event into a campaign event.

Sadly, true. I note the unfortunate death of an evangelist bishop in Virginia from Covid-19. He defied authorities and held full church services and other gatherings.
I guess even God won’t protect us against ignorance. The guy infected his wife, too. (Who else was infected before he fell ill?)

Wealth has nothing to do with wars? How innocent an outlook. I cannot imagine ANYONE else believes that. Even back in the 50’s there were warnings about the Industrial-Military folks. Every war has profiteers at or near the top. Munitions suppliers, aircraft companies, shipping people, steel and concrete companies. Even bandage makers make huge sums in times of war. Billionaires have gotten there money in lots of ways, but never forget every product made has a place in war. Watch that military industrial complex a wee bit closer; don’t be so naive, please.

all the photos on licenses on states and have created or are in process of a national
data base. The cost of registering 2 cars docs and licenses cost over one thousand

The change in Driver's License rules is a result of 9-11, and the "real ID" rules. Indiana had these rules when we moved here six years ago; here these rules were put in place when a guy named Pence was Governor. My sense is that Democrat ruled states were less enthused about them, but that is only a sense.
