Was I wrong to assume this very expensive ball head came with a quick release plate? All my other less expensive ball heads came with release plates.I sent an email to Adorama asking if they forgot to send it.They are checking on it.What do u think,I will have to spend more money on the release plate, yeah so do I.

Cheaper ball heads come with a universal release plate, RRS sells custom release plates tailored to each camera... can't include one of each with each ball head.

Yes but I was hoping I was wrong! When I ordered my other ball heads the plates came with them,so I guess the more you pay for an item the less is included!

Depends on what you purchased. There are options for different clamp styles on the ball head. Are you asking about clamps on the ball head or plates for your camera / lens?

I have a Nikon D 750 & I am talking about the plate that will attach the camera to the ball head.

Go directly to the RRS website. They offer multiple configurations of this ball head. Some with clamps (several types) and some without. Depends on what option you purchased whether you get a clamp and what type of clamp. Same with B&H.

You should have been able to specify which release you wanted.

I got RRS plates for my first two cameras and 1 for the 100-400 lens. For the newest camera I bought, I just went with a Chinese knock-off - works just as well for a fraction of the price. It's like buying a knock off tripod versus a RRS or Gitzo. Your money, your choice.
