Long Island, no wonder you wear shorts! Come up hear to Camden, NY, and experience what Winter is all about. Winter starts here in mid October, when the first snows fall and doesn't stop till Easter. Sub freezing temps that will make your boys fall off. 😁 stay warm!

I have pretty much lived my entire life in Florida with the exception of a few excursions away from the state.... the weather here in the 60's is excellent, no need for jackets or coats, I call it San Diego weather, it is that perfect!
The 30's and 40's do happen here and that does begin to feel a bit cold especially if the breeze is blowing and the clouds cover the sun.

I live in North East Pennsylvania and THAT seems to be a uniform for many Walmart shoppers. Also, I see mothers bundled up while the children are dressed like it is spring.

I went to a concert given by a musician from Hawaii. At the time, it was unusually warm in NY - 60s. When she got on stage, she commented on how cold it was.

Some people can take the cold, some can't. Doesn't mean their idiots.
I live in the Pacific NW. Wearing shorts in the winter with a heavy jacket is normal here. I do it myself to a point. I'm active and don't like wearing long pants if I don't have to. Especially when hiking, even in the snow. However, at 72 I'm putting long pants on sooner as it gets cold than I did 30 years ago.

The Attic is the political forum and they don't play nice, of course at this point in our country politics are rarely discussed in a respectful manner, the Attic is the forum where we discuss our politics. If a topic such as this becomes political it will get moved there and often the OP regrets it when his topic is moved to the Attic as we have many here who pride themselves as not partaking rancor that permeates there. I am not one, I visit both the photography and political sides of the site however honestly I have to say politics are becoming quite boring.

I like "visiting" snow in the mountains, but having lived in Southern California for 66 of my 73 years (born in Indiana), I wear a coat when it gets below 60.
