Brent, as usual, very good work. You captured the spirit of the mission not what it looks like. Somewhat like a portrait. I'm in the "Give the guy an A" group.

Recently we were asked to photograph the San Juan Capistrano Mission for our final project before the semester ends. Aside from a few, most of the class posted rather boring photos. I tried to think with my creative hat on to do something different. We also were asked to post bokeh photos.
These all look best in download mode.
1 & 4 have the most appeal for me. Nice job!
I think you did a wonderful job. Hope you get an A+
Very well done, Brent. I favor #1 & #4 also. Sounds like a fun class.

Well Bluefish.......I'd say you like Christmas trees! lol Thanks for the kind words about these two photos.
Not so much the trees as the fine photographs.

#1 was manipulated somewhat........HDR to start then in Photoshop I darkened the edges to force the viewer to focus on the Christmas tree. Do you think I cheated a little?!?!?!?
I think only a photojournalist would think in terms of "cheating." The rest of us who are creative photographers just see your end result as exceptional and admire all the steps you went through to get your final product. Beautiful work!
Hey Sam.......we were not graded, but thanks for your positive thoughts!!!
Looks like your creative hat worked very nicely Brent.

I really like your lighting techniques. It puts a very different look to the images and gives life to them.

Collhar, the critic hat is ALWAYS on.........constantly analyze your photos and compositions as you create the photos. Improve constantly!
For my self, yes. I would however belittle anyone else's pictures/work.
" most of the class posted rather boring photos" Your belief, reality may be different.
I do not in anyway mean your pictures are bad,I do like one or two.
I have always had a problem with "smug" people.
