Simple and sparse. Are you sure all the horizons are level?

No, pretty much the mountains go up and down. 😂

Very nice. I camped there twice but never shot any photos up there. Wish I had explored the lake area and shot some photos. Looks like the termination dust is down to about 6500' level. Seems like not much snow so far this year.

Today I took a drive up to Eklutna Lake, a lake in the Chugach Mountains northeast of Anchorage. It is the principle source of fresh water for Anchorage. Eklutna Lake sits 10 miles off mile 26 of the Glenn Hwy. It’s quite a beautiful place, and while I was disappointed that it was in the shade, the tops of the mountains were in the sun and the water was almost perfectly calm, showing wonderful reflections. Here’s a couple taken with my Sony RX100 M7. No editing, SOOC. Best quality is in download.

Hey, OR, thanks. Yeah, the snow’s late this year. Interestingly, earlier on, there was quite a bit of snow, and down to a much lower level, but then a system of warm air came in and got trapped. The snow turned to rain and, well, you see where the snow line is now, and there’s not a lot of it there, and it hasn’t snowed since. It could be an interesting winter.

Thank you Annie. It’s one of my favorite places to go. If it weren’t for the bears that seem to show up there, I’d walk along the lake to get different perspectives of it. However, the lake is 7 miles long and it was only 34 degree!! Thanks for the nice comments.

They’ve been getting some snow north of here, probably starting at Talkeetna. How much has stuck around, I don’t know, but if they don’t get enough snow for the race, they may have to swap the runners for tundra tires.

Wow. I don't think it would matter what camera or lens you using or where the light was or anything else for that matter. You obviously know how to just nail it!

Thank you very much. I appreciate your comments. I’m still learning this camera, and it rewards. And sometimes I manage to get it right.
